    Why used for new prices???

Ill probably get yelled at or a rash of hate mail for this but why the hell are people selling used guns that are readily or easily avalable to obtain new for the price of or mor than new guns. Now there are good sales on cal guns and I would say most are reasonable but there are so many people asking outrageous prices and get offended if you offer say 400 on a glock 26 whin there asking 550 used. There are 3 shops here that have it for 490 and 500. Am I in the wrong at least asking that price. I'm just gonna buy new.

If the price is close to new, I would just go buy a new one and not have to worry if the seller is accurately describing the gun.

A few reasons, first people will always sell for as Much as they can, SeCondly most people try and haggle, thirdly for handGuns you can only buy one every thirty days. I am with you though i would rather but new.

What's worse is people who think they know what other people should ask for their property. Get over it , they didn't take your offer. Go buy a new one.

Because you're on Calguns! The delusions run deep here with many sellers. Only advantages in situation you describe is no tax and also no one a month handgun issues. Also human nature I guess.

I like how when I'm selling something people act like it is worth a pile of cow chips but when they sell something it is like gold.

Maybe the microstamping thing. Have you looked a the Roster lately?
Its like, there are very few semi autos left. So, I guess, people think their gun
turned into gold. One gun I was looking at the seller wanted more than the OTD price for new. He still has the gun and I have a new one. Go figure.

Because every gun on cal guns is either new inbox or only has 50 rounds through it then add 10 to 20% for sentimental value.

A big think is that it's the Internet where it's free to post your ad. you don't have to price it where you know it will sell because you have nothing invested in the ad.

Actually quite a few of my guns have well less than 200 rounds through them at least by my hand. I know many here find that hard to believe but I have piles of guns so many times I will just test fire a gun and put it away for many years. I have guns I've only fired 5-7 rounds out of that come in obscure chamberings.

As roster gets smaller and no easily done form of SSE and when Hillary gets elected expect the prices on here to hit the roof.

That's the beauty of free-market Capitaliam. If you would rather buy new, buy new. If you think they're selling too high, move on to the next ad. There's nothing wrong at all with setting whatever price you want for your own property.

Guess its too late to "inb4" capitalism bs remarks. Love the new price of ksgs going for 750 give or take and people still want 1k. Its folks who bought at a high price wanting to flip and theyre too late to the game or held too long and market has dropped.

                          And that isn't capitalism how?
that sounds like capitalism 101 to me.
Purchase at the top of a market and sell at the bottom and you are going to get screwed.

Capitalism = ask for whatever tickles your fancy. Free speech = expose the scam.

In a free society both are good to go.

Might be the younger demographic on Calguns. To most of us old pharts haggling is part of the gun buying process. The young guys, not so much.

Of course... my last purchase consisted of the haggling technique of me typing What can I say? The price was fair & I'd been wanting one.
