Because first and foremost, I'm looking out for #1.

That said, Russia has a leader that (corrupt as he is) cares more for his nation than this bitter POS obama who's bent on taking America down and punishing her people.

However, if my attitude bothers you - feel free to subsidize my ammo budget anytime. There's nothing like putting your money where your mouth is.

Personally, I don't care about Wolf's steel casings or copper-platted steel bullets or excessive fouling or failure to obturate sufficiently or being banned from ranges.

What I want to ask is why American gun enthusiasts are giving business to a Russian company (Tulskiy Patronniy Zavodwhile) while Putin is president?

As president, Putin has imposed severely undemocratic actions in Russia, brought his country to the brink of economic ruin, and has been dangerously aggressive militarily towards the rest of the western world.
Because they are desperate for ammo.

I agree about Putin. For many years I have said he is the most dangerous man on earth. He is a sociopathic killer, former KGB who saw Russia in the glory days and has no problem doing anything to restore that.

Amazing. Under Dubya Bush, Putin invades and retakes georgia (a former Russin satellite state) and the right wingers all sang about how we need to stay out of their affairs.

But if Putin rolls tanks on Obama's watch, suddenly Putin's actions are strictly because Obama is weak.

Was Dubya weak? Putin did the same thing.

Putin is putting the pieces back in the Soviet Union one block at a time and it won't matter who is president.

If American manufacturers made a product to combloc spec and kept it at that price point I'd support and buy. But we don't live in that world so I buy Russian.

ok, I guess my answer would be they don't make much money on it.

Its not all made in Tula. Seems like a lot was made in Ukraine and other countries. I'm guessing they have razor thin margins and this might have something to do with them not retooling to get rid of the steel cores (that are cutting into sales as they fall out of favor in the US).

I think not very much money makes it to the Russian gov from the steel case sellers.

Also; someone mentioned wolf being a US company. If they're sourcing outside the USSR; its possible no money makes it to Russia from a lot of their sales.

All that said.... I don't buy steel case. I just think all things considered it is not big deal that others do. Also; if you caught any of my posts on Russian foreign policy you know I'm 'very critical' of it and Putin (to say the least).

Why in hell would an american company want to make dirty stinky crap ammo and pay their employees slave wages? That wouldnt be taking business from tula and wolf, that would be joining in their business practices. Why would you ask such a silly question???

Seems you have bought into the 'russian bombers' hype. Russian bombers have been flying over europe since russia had bombers.

If russia was an enemy, Obama would have stopped the sale of russian ammo in the US.

When I buy russian ammo I feel good. Its like when you send money to help people in poor countries

Under this convoluted thinking, Obama is rewarded for buying American ammo.

Hell yes! Check out this article on Fox Business News:

                      A quote from the article:

" If everyone in the U.S. were to spend just 5% more on made-in-America goods, 1 million jobs will be created in the U.S."

You buy American = you create American jobs = you benefit the American economy = Unfortunately both Democrats AND Republicans claim credit

I don't know about you, but I'd much rather have people employed and making a living than having them unemployed so I could piss into the wind about Obama. Seems like cutting off you nose to spite your face.

Hornady has steel case 7.62x39. Its slightly more than 5% over Tulammo.

If Obama banned the importation of Russian ammo I think a company might make a bunch of 7.62x39 and that would create about 100 jobs. Obama wont ban russian ammo because hes in bed with the russian olys, no arguing that.

LOL, otherwise they would be cost prohibitive

The same can be asked about Russian oil exported to the global market.
Does that make whoever buys it less patriotic?

Everybody shoots what they want, but the worst jams I've ever seen in AR-platform rifles have been due to steel case ammo.

Why would anyone buy from an American company when Obama has brought America to the brink of financial ruin? Maybe you shouldn't let the president of a country dictate if you do business with the people of a country?
