Sounds like theres a lot of dummies out there taking shots at animals on the range. Maybe they thought the range installed a new moving target system [emoji33]

Not exactly wildlife but Manteca Sportsmen has a cat that lives on the property. This thing must be completely deaf - it often walks around in front of the firing line at the rifle range during live fire. It hunts mice and rodents that burrow in the ground. Occasionally you will see rodents pop their heads up during a cease fire but I think they know better than to pop up during live fire.

I was playing in a 4 man scramble at a course in Hesperia. while I was hitting some balls on the range a yote walked across the range around the 150 yard marker. At the time I was better with a 7 iron then a rifle.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Pretty funny. Like he was taunting us.
              Boredom I think.
Doubt its the same one, but there was a roadrunner that used to hang around the range house area and actually would go in and out of the bathrooms down there. Lots of other wildlife there, also, including a big ol' buck that would walk over the "saddle" downrange of Range 6. Lots of cows around there, too, and one got hit because it was laying behind the number boards on the High Power range. There's a funny story (to everyone but the poor guy who shot the calf, really) about what happened after that, but I don't want to mess it up.

While receiving CLAYMORE training in BCMT; a huge buck appeared at the edge of the brush, just as the DI fired the weapon; DEER move quickly in a sideways manner, to be fertilizer in the woods.

Animal in sight picture: Fair game!!!

If it's a large game animal, I'd harvest it for sure.

Vermin like jack rabbits and squirrels, I'd leave those for the vultures.

There used to be a shooting club in Folsom.
We were shooting trap there and a pair of doves flew over.
                    They were in season.
                    They were dinner.
