Thanks for reminding me. I need to check on it. I do not think it needs to be cleaned. It was pretty clean after my last range trip. I gotta check for rust!

I last cleaned mine about 2 years ago. Multiple range trips and hundreds of rounds through it...still functions fine, and no rust that I see. That being said, I'll clean it tonight so I can call it good for another 2 years.

I clean my AK after every round. Wait, who am I kidding, I've never cleaned it.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

Rule of thumb: when the wad gets stuck in the barrel, it's time to clean it. Until then, you are just rubbing away the life of your gun.

I have a model 12 that has only been cleaned once. Damn that's a lot of shells gone through that puppy.

This I don't quite understand. Whether the gun costs 200 or 20,000 it deserves to cleaned and cared for. To each their own though.

I clean my trap guns every other shoot (about 200+ rounds).

My duck guns, maybe every 4th or 5th time I am out. Even though sometimes it's under 25 shells through it total, it still has been exposed to the elements a bit more. If it falls in the mud, water, etc.. I'll clean it then too.

I usually clean after I shoot. I enjoy doing it.

After a day of duck, pheasant or rabbit hunting. I clean my 870s.

It is just a good habit.
