Semi autos - after every shoot
Pump and over/under - rarely, just when I'm feeling OCD

Usually after every outing. I enjoy cleaning my guns. Thanks to Cleansoil and a Boresnake cleaning is pretty easy.

I guess I am OCD. I clean it after every trip.

Out of all my guns my express has the worst finish. I only clean it when I start to see rust.

I clean all my guns after every use. I feel that letting any gun go rusty or dirty should be a sin.

Depends on how much shooting I did...

I just wipe my shotguns down after a trip. If they start to fail or look really dirty i'll give it a good cleaning.

For the most part I clean everything after each range trip.

It doesn't take long, isn't hard and I kind of enjoy it.

Also it lets me know if there are any problems with my guns. For example, last duck opener: my buddy decides to clean his shotgun the night before the opener, pulls it apart and guess what, something broke and his gun was a no go.

Well, lucky for him I brought an extra gun, but It all could have been avoided it he cleaned it the last time he shot. And using a single shot, shooting 3inch #3's did not look that fun.

I clean mine after every shoot, no matter how much or how little I shot during that day. Its a habit, I don't like putting away dirty guns, rubs me wrong like there's something I've not yet done for the day.

However, I think you have to also take into account how many times a week a person shoots. For me and my wife, we shoot once a week so cleaning after each shoot makes sense. For those who shoots many times a week, it'll be quite a chore to clean the shotgun after every shoot. If I shoot say 3 or 5 times a week, I think I'll clean it once a week and leave it at that.

What is this "cleaning" thing you speak of???
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                      Come on...what harm??

I clean every gun after I shoot it. If it was 500 rounds or 1 round, I clean it.

With a toddler running around I have limited free time. I rather spend that time shooting rather than cleaning. Maybe every 5 times to the range do my shotguns get a cleaning.

Depends on what gun. I have an old Stevens that I use to kill Rattle snakes that has not been cleaned in years. My expensive guns get cleaned after every shooting trip.

Honestly, for whatever reason(s), I rarely clean my 870. Everything else, I usually clean in between trips to the range... Then again, I don't fire my 870 much.

Which reminds, I need to clean it... It's been awhile. I hope the thing is not full of rust.
