Because of the 6th rule of skeet club

    6) You will need one of 3 choke tube in your gun. CYL, SKT, IC should be good for your first lesson. If you have a LM, M, IM, LF, F, XF please leave them at home.

I like what you did with that. Niceness!

I think the action release location is personal preference.

I like it where I can reach it without a regrip so I like the Mossy.

But that sure is a nice looking specimen.

My big5 mossberg combo wouldn't chamber rounds. Must of got a bad Apple. Then i replaced it with the H&R and that was a mistake! Going with 870 next, I hope.......

I have too much fun out shooting guys on the skeet range using my $205.00 Big 5 Mossberg with the 28 modified bbl! It stays front and center in the safe with the 18'' bbl. Its better than I am.

I did for $269 and regret it. The field barrel has a fixed choke and cannot be adjusted.

              Get this combo instead:

              Turners moss 500 combo $329

It has a HD barrel and Field barrel, plus the field barrel comes with 3 different choke tubes. Also you get your pistol grip.

              Turners model 110278, mossberg model# 51482

Just to add, one of the reasons for my decision in buying a shotgun was to attend bjl's skeet class and found out the 28in barrel with the fixed mod choke is no good to learn skeet.

edit: i now have to buy this barrel : http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/moss...e-p-92336.html for $158 bucks and there went all my savings!
No you dont....that fixed choked barrel can be threaded to take choke tubes.
If you go to shotgunworld.com, Mike Orlens can do the job for a real good price.
