another lefty here, with no issues from a right-handed shotgun. I do wear good eye protection, since if there is some kind of "kaboom" my face will be right by the exhaust port, but I've got no issues otherwise (in my limited shotgunning experience)

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

I'd gladly trade the stock or the stock and grip for original Ithaca walnut, if that's what you have / need. You can email me through calguns if you're interested...straight-up trade, each pays shipping to the other. Lemme' know

Is there any way to swap the cross-bolt safety on a Stevens 350? So that it would protrude to the right when the safety is off.

Remington 870 "left handed model". My best friend shoots one and loves it.

Ithaca 37, Big +1 on that. I have a 1920's production model with 4+1 capacity, I'm still looking to get a 8-shot model.

The only thing that really affects a left handed shooter is the safety and slide lock location. On the 870, you really need the safety reversed. A gunsmith can do this, or you'll have to buy a genuine lefty from the factory.

The bottom eject isn't really a benefit, but it doesn't hurt either. Tactical reloads are different and a bit harder than using the ejection port to shuffle a load if the need arises. The right hand location of the ejection port on most shotguns is actually a real boon to left handed shooters because your right hand can do some useful work while your left holds at the ready from your shoulder. If ejection port was pointing left, it would be quite awkward for a righty, which is what right handed shooters have learned to live with with the typical arrangement.

Google 870, rust to help make up your mind. Seems Remington has a problem with finishes these days.

im lefty...there's no need to spend extra money for a bottom eject

i have a 590 20" with side saddle and it's like the gun was made for me...plus in the eventuality something needs to be replaced the parts availability of a regular right hand gun will be higher as well as cheaper
