10/26/11 skeet clinic!! Great day for skeet.

The day was great for skeet, but the traffic getting there was horrible!! A few guys got there late, including me!!

We had 6 attendees and 4 were repeat students. The clinic went at a really fast pace today. Our 2 new students caught on real fast. Too bad they couldn't stay longer. By the end of the day they even shot the doubles pretty well!

We went through all the stations by the end of the day. A couple of students stayed to shoot a round with Richard and I.

I was one of the new guys. It was a blast! Wish I could've stayed longer to shoot more. Next time. Seriously guys when you go do this clear your day, your whole day.

And now for the proof.

Ok now up untill about 2 weeks ago maybe 3 weeks, I had never shot skeet. Sure tossed some birds out in the desert but never real skeet at a real range. So short version of the story I go out a few times and hit an honest average of somewhere around 5. with a high game of 12 and a low of 3.

Went out today and shot 2 rounds. First was a 12 (yeah I am aware that still sucks). Second game was a 13! I felt alot more comfortable doing it also. I still have alot to learn and will be taking another class soon.

If you'd like to join us, some of us clinic students come out to triple B pretty much every weekend (ok, mainly just me going every weekend). We'll be out there tomorrow morning if you want to shoot with fellow Don students. It's the best way to continue learning what was taught to you from the clinic rather than taking chance shooting with other ppl who have different techniques. Just fyi...

Miss it, need to go to another clinic, I think I forgot so much from the one I took last year!

Getting a little more time now so hopefully will be able to sign up on future dates after Turkey Day.
