Okay so for about a week, I have been keeping my shotgun in the corner of my room, 5 rounds on the stock but with the mossberg lock on. However, Today I hung my shotgun, I don't like how it looks with the lock on while on the wall, Is there another way to secure it? Mind you, I'm in my room at all times when I'm home, When I'm not home my room is locked.
However, Apart from this, I have 2 nephews that are in our house at all times..., They're 4 & 5 and I doubt they would even be able to load the gun, Let alone unmount it (It has a fish hook which needs the shotgun to be at a certain angle for it to release). I do realize, The ammo needs lots of pressure to actually load it into the feeding tube, As well as to load it into the chamber. However there is always that paranoia inside that will make you be afraid they do something stupid with it.
Do I just ignore looks and lock it with the mossberg or is there another way to prevent use? P.S. The safety is always on, But I don't trust that.
Sorry about the pictures, I couldn't find my camera so I used my cell.
This is exactly where it's placed.

Closer look

The hook holding on to it.
