I'm not ignoring what you're saying, Trust me I'm taking it into thought however, The kids go to school, That's a couple of hours of safety in the morning, When they get out, I'm here. They don't LIVE here they're just here most of the time, Outside playing, The only time they're really here is when I'm home which I have supervision of what they do.

My room only has 2 keys, I carry mine with my car keys and the gunlock and my parents have one for an emergency. Once my sister gets out of work, They go to her house (that's around 6-7pm) so there's only a 4-5 hour window, But they'd still have to find the key which is hidden. I don't know what the chances are for them to even come in my room.

Oh and also, I'm sorry I wasn't born in the 60's or 70's Like it was my choice to be born in the 90's >_>
Sorry, but your parents do have a say in this. If you're living in their house and you're over 18 they can throw you out of the house for any reason or no reason at all... Something to keep in mind before crossing the parents.

People in here aren't trying to give you a bunch of grief, they're trying to keep you out of trouble. If anybody... anybody grabs that gun off your wall and does something stupid with it, it is your fault and you will go to jail for it. Try to keep these things in mind instead of needlessly lashing out at all the posts.
So um... moon labia or something.

wait a minute,, your worried how your shotgun looks with a lock on it,,, seriously??
I know, really.........how would those 4 and 5 year olds look without half of their face?

I have to keep the image of my shotgun, locked behind a solid door and a safe door, in my mind. Still looks badass.

I was looking at your pictures and it looks like you keep your shotgun in plain view, meaning right when you open your door. I don't really think it is a good idea for you to flagrantly advertise that you own a shotgun. especially if you live with parents. You might want to tone down your attitude or outlook on being a gun owner. To me it looks like you are trying to showcase/show off your shotgun to family in your home or friends that come over. It also sounds like you might be young and a little miseducated about basic gun safety rules. I would re-read safety protocols in your gun manual or maybe read books by authors that are respected by firearm owner community. I would no way store my firearm solely based on the way it looks. This type of reason just makes yourself look ignorant and inexperienced. Please take some classes in gun safety to protect yourself and those around you please! Put it away my friend. If you want to take it out when you are home, by all means do so. BUt when you have no need for it just store it out of the way to avoid any potential problems that might arise from poor storage.

I listened to my parents when they asked me to put it away in my closet... So I did and went to work.... I came back and my mom had put some blankets and stuff I left in the living room, The shotgun has 2 major scratches. *sigh* this is why I wanted it hanging in the first place... only I get to touch it. Now I have to live with 2 scratches.

You guys don't know how my mind functions, I know I'm not like you guys I'm sorry I can't be.... It is what it is huh?
If this was your reason for keeping it up on the wall you could by a cheap nylon scabbard that could run anywhere from $20-40 bucks.

The more you respond/talk the more I think you should re-think about bieng a firearm owner.
