I can't imagine having to keep track of two tubes. Especially in the heat of hypothetical mallnijna-ish zombie battle.

You just need to practice by counting cards in poker games.

And then, when topping it off during the zombie invasion, will you be paying enough attention to put the buck shot in the buck shot tube and not accidentally in the slug tube?
there is no slug tube or buck tube. COMBAT RELOAD (I wonder how easy that will be)

just like with any new system, it will take training/practice. if you don't plan on either - you have no business warding off zombies with this or any shotgun
you don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.

the comparison of .40 to 9mm to 12g is moot

a 10 round .40 cal mag will only fit 10 rounds of .40

you just fall back on your level of training.

I will need one of these. I'm not normally a fan of bullpup designs, but, being a lefty, I appreciate the bottom-eject. And I'm loving the two separate 7-round feeding tubes. CGF may have some fun with this one...

Maybe Kel-Tec is going for the zombie apocalypse/end of the world/SHTF triumvirate. Too bad nobody will be able to get them in time to fend off the flesh eating hordes

I think it would be the same condition with Aguila mini-shells.

Prosecution establishes you did not own the magazine -or its attached firearm- before 2000 and demonstrates how you were caught with X number of rounds of compatible ammunition totaling more than 10 loaded into it. Pretty reasonable to an average jury...

OWNING/POSESSING, USING and BUYING high caps are NOT illegal!!!!

This means that if any FFL that thinks that these shotguns are legal and decides to bring them in and sell them to you, YOU will not get in trouble but if anything THEY may for selling a high cap. Selling is illegal; purchasing, owning, posessing, using, etc. is not illegal.

It is probably quite loud with the short barrel and the shooter's ear being so close to the muzzle. Hope they come with a suppressor (just joking).

I just called and spoke with someone at Kel-Tec.

Was trying to find out if the shotgun is going to be available in California. She would not give me any information. She said no information will be released until after the SHOT show.

I talked to my gun guy yesterday at his shop and showed him the shot gun and he said of course he couldnt be sure, but he felt by looking at it and the specs that he didnt think it will ever see California.

He compared it to the Judge. Not sure if that is an accurate comparison, but I trust he knows more about this stuff than I do. he has been in the business for a long time.

I wouldnt be suprised if we never see it. some of Kel-Tecs really cool stuff you cant get here.

Like their RFB. I would LOVE to have that rifle. But not legal in California.

And on Kel-Tec's web site they even compare the shotgun to the RFB.

                        Quote:

"The size, shape and design are similar to the currently available Kel-Tec RFB rifle, but the KSG ejects downward, instead of forward"

So my assumption between what my gun guy says, knowing Kel-Tec's RFB is not legal in California and they make a pretty clear comparison between the shotgun and the RFB.

And on top of all that, everyone here has been going back and forth about the legality of the 14 round capacity.

So from all the pieces I am putting together I will be pleasantly surprised if it is available in California, but I am not holding my breath.

Funny, I asked my dealer and he didn't see any issue with this shotgun being CA legal. He is going to order few and hold 2 for me...in case it is CA illegal, he can see them to the local LEOs...

But, it could be are very long wait until the order is fulfilled. Kel Tec seem slow...

The RFB is prohibited here, in its factory configuration, for a completely unrelated reason that is not applicable to pump shotguns. If your gun guy knew his stuff, he'd know that too.

Wow. tough crowd on this board.

In referance to the RFB and shotgun comparison. that was my comparison, not the guy I buy guns from. he never made that comparison. So if there is a problem with the comparison it is due to my ignorance, not the guy I purchase guns from.
