Inexpensive firearms are the last thing I'd sell. DROS on a $200 gun is 18% of the cost, whereas DROS on a $1200 is only 3% of the cost. So if your plan is to buy back, you waste a lot of efficiency with transaction costs selling lower-priced guns.

As hard as it's been to find... I was able to get 1500 rounds from cabelas in the last 1.5 months. I've spent maybe an hour worth of time. All instances due to calguns 'cabelas has it' posts.

I didn't pay butt rape prices either.

A couple of months ago the 22 inventory was flowing. I havent bought since then, but you guys need to learn to be patient and wait out the down times of the supply cycles. Selling it all?? Man.....

Like you, I have been able to find plenty of ammo. It is out there at a decent price if you look in the right places.

Your decision so screw it but have you bothered to take the time to stalk WalMart in the morning. I have done it once and guess what 550 rounds for 22.98 each (I got 3 bricks and so did the 8 people behind me). And I plan on buying more .22s so next time you want to sell something. Let me know.

My AR's shoot .22LR's or .223's. I switch around when ammo stocks are lower.
So far, no problem finding cheap .22LR's, IF you look for them. Nice to have options...

If any of those .22LR firearms was a rifle you purchased before 1/1/14; then you sold a rifle(s) that was unregistered in the state of CA. *facepalm*

I bought a 500 round brick at Cabelas online the other day for under 40 bucks shipped. Not WM prices, but still low cost per round compared to bigger calibers.

LOL. Now is the time to buy .22lr firearms from people who are dumping them because they can't find ammo.

I would imagine the OP is not alone, many people are probably selling and not purchasing any new .22 lr firearms.

My LGS is not selling many .22 lr firearms, rifles or pistols because people don't want to buy guns they can't get ammo for.

Lots of people are too lazy and unmotivated to find .22 lr ammo, most gun owners I know go to Big 5 after work see theres no .22 lr and give up and just don't go shooting as much.

I have one of those in the safe too! My first firearm purchased and my "go to" when teaching a new shooter.

OP, sorry for your sale, but I will hang on to my old .22, some day this will resolve and we will have ammo a plenty and be shooting again.

I wouldn't sell any rifle now. Nor would I buy one.

Registration is a b*tch. Glad I stocked up before the end of the year.

I get the "why sell your guns?" responses but neither of my guns were what some of you would consider keepers. They were bought within the last 3-4 years so wasn't really attached to them. The last time I bought 22lr ammo was about 6 months ago from a local Calgunner. Prices have gone way up since then. I work and have kids so don't have time to "stalk" Walmart, Big 5, or, Turners in the mornings. The time I did have I spent it online looking for these so called "deals" that everyone else but me seems to find. Maybe it's bad timing or just plain bad luck but at least now I don't have to waste my time looking for it anymore.

I got down to about 10k (after shooting my stock for two years without restock, and selling some cases to the boy scouts at below market price) but was able to restock 3400 rounds over past few months for at or below 5 cents per round. Personally I don't pay more than that or I could have done triple that at 7 cents per round. I'll buy your .22lr guns

I don't see how those that have jobs and are incapable of leaving said jobs every morning - when the sporting goods stores open to purchase hobby supplies - can be considered lazy and unmotivated.
