I think the new production ones hold 15 or 16, the old ones 18 or so. I love mine, more than 10 round capacity, and no magazines to buy, lose or leave at home when I go shooting.

Might want to read up before you post stuff like that. It has a legal 14+1 tube magazine. Older ones have even bigger tubes up to 17+1.

The 795 has factory 7 and 10 round magazines (and used to have 15 and 25). There are also aftermarket 25 round magazines, not that it matters in CA. There were even 50, 75 and 100 round drums to come out but they seem to have become vaporware.

No hype. Just an honest American classic that unfortunately has been overshadowed by the King of Customization in recent years.

Both are good rifle systems. But again there is no way that the 10/22 is even as popular let alone shot as many rounds thru all of them. The numbers speak for themselves. You can not dispute 4mil vs 11mil sold. (Again both these numbers are official but at this point very out of date)

But back to the topic of this thread.

Even the IDF approves of the Ruger 10/22.

Sorry to ruffle any feathers, I always wanted an older wood stock 10/22 and finally found one. I love it.

No problem might want to get the bull variant if you think you will ever upgrade. the bull stock will of course still work with a thinner barrel, its just going to be.. really free floated lol

No feathers ruffled just providing facts

My point is give credit where credit is due.
The Marin 60 is probably the most prolific 22LR rifle ever made.
The Ruger 10/22 is hands down the most customizable 22LR rifle ever made.
            Theres room for both.

I think you're trying to put down the Ruger by putting it in the "customizing class" to put the Marlin ahead. I know a few people (including myself) that run the Ruger stock. For me, it's not about customizing, it's about brand name, history, function and reliability.

I just like my Ruger rifle and it's history. Sorry, the Marlin isn't in my collection.

Not saying you might not have received a lemon, but they've been selling the same rifle for just shy of 50 years. It works.
If they gave out Darwin Awards for stupid statements instead of just stupid actions, you could possibly be the winner this year with that one

Not only has Marlin been making the 60 longer. They have sold about three times the number of them than Ruger has the 10-22

Tapco M4, it's just so I can handle it the same as my AR15's in a match. About $80

And that is because you are misinformed because the 60/795 is more accurate out of the box then the 10/22. Not to mention Marlin and has a much longer and more illustrious history then Ruger.

Yes the Marlins are more accurate out of the box. But every time you try to get that through a 10 22 kool aid drinkers head, they get all mad and defensive.. I just tell them to do the research and they will find it is the Truth...

If you have both Firearms as I do. You will know which is more accurate..

People spend alot of Money on 10 22s just to make them as accurate as a stock Marlin. And they get really mad about that

I will back off on this conversation as I don't consider myself as an expert as some here are. I just like my bone stock wooden 10/22.

Anyone out there have the same problem with this rifle ?

Wondering if I should have gone with a non rotary mag gun...
I have 2 Stainless and 2 blued no issues right out of the box.

Hey OP if all else fails send it back to ruger warranty. They were very easy to deal with for me.
