For the OP. If you are just gonna plink buy a Simmons 3-9x AO scope or the BSA Sweet 22 that I suggested. If you are gonna get serious about target shooting then spend $200-$300 on a quality Weaver or Nikon scope. No need to spend more than $100 on a scope for killing soda cans. Your 795 ain't made of shooting small groups at tiny targets anyway, she's a plinker.

Whats your take on that one? Thats what I bought yesterday but might return it to get the Simmons. Is this really that bad? I'll find out tomorrow at the range.

I think you'd be happier with a variable scope 3x9 AO for starters. But it should work as a plinker. I've shot a lot of small game with a fixed 4 power. I have a Stevens 87 with one of their fixed 4 power scope a little skinny 7/8 inch dia one.

I just ordered this Nikon ProStaff earlier today for my 10/22 sitting in lockup right now.

With the 10% off code, it was $98 shipped to my door. I was going to pull the trigger on a Simmons, but after reading so many opinions/reviews online, I think spending the extra $40 will be worth it.

For rifles that have no iron sights I just have to have a 2-10x

                Minox makes a good one

Darn good for the money is something like the Simmons 3-9. If a scope only "half" works then it cost too much, regardless of price.

Okay, you win... I'll throw mine away and replace it with whatever you say.

I'll try to straighten out all the other guys on here who thought they were happy with the Centerpoints they've been using for all these years, and get them to replace them with Simmons also.

So you proved you're smarter and you know more than me and all us other saps who bought Centerpoint scopes, happy now?

Almost forgot, can I keep my Nikon and Vortex or do you wanna' tell me what to replace those with?

                      Nope.
You have to trash all your optics and put Nightforce and US Optics on them all.
Even your Red Ryder BB gun.

                      Edit to add:
                      (quick and dirty shop..)
