I made the mistake of selling my first year production 10/22T. I regret it to this day. 1 hole groups all day long with CCI std velocity ammo. I had a cheap Bushnell 4-12x40 ao scope onit.

Comments:
1) TechSights are a vast improvement for the 10/22
2) Dedicated AR's are a lot of fun, but not necessarily more accurate (for this test).
3) AR front sight post seems huge when looking at 1" bullseye in comparison to TechSights on 10/22
4) RAR was not more accurate than irons. Hmm...
5) I need to repeat at 50 yards to see how the platforms compare
6) The last target where I tried CCI Tactical yielded a tighter grouping that Blazer (with a flyer to lower left). I need to try other ammo brands to see what performs better in each platform.
7) RAR stock flexes a lot up front so getting a solid sight picture with a bipod seemed difficult.
8) Having to wear prescription progressive glasses makes getting a good sight picture more difficult than when I was younger - can't just hold still and focus my eyes back and forth between target and front sight anymore...

You're more than ready. Appleseed is a fundamentals class, which means we'll work with whatever you've got.

Looks like you're holding 4 MOA or so with all rifles in prone. That's good enough to score Rifleman provided the rest comes together (other positions, transitions, timed targets). But you should be in good shape.

Concentrate on the front sight or the crosshairs, not the target. Your targets are telling me that you're focused on the target, understandable given eyesight issues. That should shrink your groups a bit immediately.
