I haven't had a problem with the plastic forward assist device in my CMMG .22 upper. I've got a lot of rounds through it and no issues, the forward assist works fine when needed.

Ah just got my buffer plug! Cant wait for my wasp vs 10/22 range trip tomorrow evening at on target! I think i might bring another stupid amount of ammo just so i can see any jam patterns if there are any. I want to see what ruger warranty can put up against the stock upper. We already know there is a plus one for bolt hold open, and another for being able to drop the bolt on the next mag, but we will see what difference there is.

Nice, wanna eventually pick up one. Heard they use the same mags as my sig 522.

Btw, clean your 10/22 mags. I use fed and golden b's and havent had a jam yet. Mags run smooth after cleaning.

Your forward assists work? Mine is just a piece of plastic pinned on for looks... It does not function.

The normal CMMG dedicated uppers do not have a working forward assist. Its usually an extra option on the CMMG website. Its an option that also comes with a stainless bolt/bolt collar and forward assist for $30 - a good pkg upgrade.

The CMMG 22LR upper was my favorite AR gun to shoot. Just feed it with roundnose 40gr HVs and it'll be ultra reliable...

ejhc11....did you run your CMMG dedicated upper all stock or with the Taccom upgrades?

Here is my 10/22 in the case next to my cmmg .22 set up. We were going to head off to the range for their shoot off, but when I got there there were police everywhere and the staff said they were closed for the day...oh well

Hopefully I will actually get a chance to get them both side by side on the range. I will post more pics!

Hey thanks for the pic of the Better nag Adapter in your lower. Mine sticks up that far also, but for some reason i did not think that was correct. (by reading there instructons.

They really should provide better instructions.
