    Exactly.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I'm surprised people are so sensitive but I guess this is the internet where people like jump to conclusions and make others feel bad rather than encourage and support them.

I didn't say anything untrue about this particular entity. All I did was state my experience and question the sales methods and ethics behind a company I was supporting. I was brought up all through my childhood to question anything and everything or else be taken advantage of.

That's fine if you have no critical thinking skills but I like to be as educated and aware of everything I am involved in including how I spend my money and the companies I support.

Store fronts get the priority and online sales get the rest. I wouldn't be surprised if they were stocking up a bunch of ammo for the Black Friday sales.

It seems like most people don't even buy the one boxes because its not worth it so the idea of them spreading it around really isn't as helpful as ya'll make it sound.

If they wanted to move inventory fast I would think releasing it and allowing more than 1 box when they had it would move it a lot faster. But that wouldn't be "fair" now would it.

There are plenty of LGS's carrying .22LR, why wouldn't you purchase from them especially if you disagree with Cabelas one box limits?

            Bingo Holiday Sales!

I guess Cabelas like all the other stores are selling whatever they receive. I know that if any local shops get any 22 it's gone before the end of the day. Sometimes they receive a ton, other times it could be just a few cases.

It sounds like he's upset because he believes that Cabelas maybe hiding 22 ammo and selling it at their leisure, i.e. they are artificially limiting the supply.

Well I guess Cabelas can outsell their allotment and start backorders... I mean waiting a few more months is not a bad thing.

They could also do what Gander does and have no limits, have their shipment cleaned out in 5 min and have everyone complain that they have not seen any again for several months.

I support your hypothesis OP. Begin the boycott. I will add Cabelas to my black list of other vendors, whom I boycott in support of disgruntled CGers. Thank goodness my basement is stacked to the rafters with reloading components, because there is no where left to shop.

Yes, please boycott Cabela's, so when the 2100 round federal cans for $99, 1000 round M-22s for $49, AR tacticals, CCI minimags come in there will be less people to compete with.

Unless I am jobless, benefiting from Federal perks and can wait a hour before opening hours for a couple hundred rounds of .22 bulk this isn't a possibility for myself. Obviously it is for you and the more power to you. My only option is online before the time blessed folk suck the LGS's clean.

Oh if you mean not getting any Mini Mags because I got there seconds too late, then yes that would be me.

As for the LGS, the old folks got that covered. Why waste gas?

Let me help clarify my post for you.

LGS in not the same as Walmart, Turners, DICKs or Big 5. It's the typical mom & pop gun shop located somewhere in your area. If you disagree with how Cabelas is limiting purchases to one box because of some conspiracy, than patronize your local gun shop where they might not have single box limits.

The local shops in my area have .22s in stock so I am sure your local shops have them too.

Are you not willing to purchase from yours because of the pricing difference?

Kudos to you about not being jobless - now go spend some of that money at your Local Gun Shop instead of feeling so butt hurt when people don't see it your way.

I hear you on the gas. I don't even bother checking my LGS anymore. It isn't worth my time competing with the retired and jobless community

I have a few shops in my area that I stop in to socialize, support and check ammo supply with. No such luck for myself. I have bought from them in the last 3-4 months even when prices were high but to tell you the truth small gun store owners like to make their shops feel like a private club. I like to think of myself as a sociable, friendly guy but when given a "humph" after asking if any .22 is available like I'm taking away from your day chatting up the retired veteran (no disrespect intended)I tend to learn my place and understand my welcome when its not welcome. Make me feel like a outsider when I have hard earned cash to spend at your shop and I tend to frequent less.
