A back door in software refers to an unknown or unwanted entrance. This is right on the page, put there by Cabela's to generate repeat sales and in no way can be classified as a "back door"!

They might look the other way unless you bug them about your order status, but I really doubt they intended the cart links to be used to order stuff before it went live on their page. Besides, where is the fun in saying that you used a cart link when you can say you got back door action from cabela's?

I don't care which door as long as some ammo is the result!

I work in IT and have worked with software developers in silicon valley for years. Yes I know the "technical" definition of a backdoor in software but in this case I think people feel this is a backdoor since it doesn't typically show in their inventory system on their main page. Oh, and I don't really think cabela's put it there to be used like this. If they knew about it, I think they would probably fix the access (close the door). Just my $.02.

yeah- from 11Jan13 to 1Jan14 a mere 171 pages were posted in this thread.

                    then the out-of-state pestilence hit.

250 pages later it's safe to say this thread has been hi-jacked.

I would love to see the page views during the last few months, that would be interesting to me.

I cant see how they can possibly not know about it.
I wonder how long the lag needs to be until it actually hits the home page.
As in if we "all" quit buying it before it gets there.

So, are you talking about the out-of-state pestilence that brought the Cabela's method with them or another one?

                                Bucket just arrived.
                                Allegra NON-DROWSY???
Oh well, should make me drowsy if I warsh them down with a beer.
Worst packaging job Ive had yet from C.
Bucket is fine but one more good bounce and it would have come out of the bottom of the box.
