Why don't people give thanks to Calguns for hosting this thread, and donate some funds to keep the site going? If enough people become Contributors, we can start a thread in the Contributors subforum. Then all the "interlopers" from FB would at least have to contribute in order to try and use up all the links.

Jacob has already said that might be a way to go if the crowd here wants that.

I was reviewing the C-lounge, looks great, don't know how to create the sticky part of the thread to keep it a the top!

Anyone know a mod that can set this up for us??

Yes, creating the thread will be no problem however, I believe the "Sticky": part keeps it at the top Ammo Finds - Post them here.

The op started a good thread and it is still a good thread and should remain as is----There will always be a handful of greedy little whiners no matter where the thread is---I've checked around and pretty much most sites that have anything to do with ammo have the cart to Cabelas in their postings----I don't see the need to re-post the info everyday or at all---When ammo is available then put up a link for it just like before---If anyone needs more info they can post up and ask for it or pm someone---Just leave good enough alone and move on.

A) The bickering, KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF!!!
That includes the clever little 'i agree' gifs. and such.

B) Calguns is a DISCUSSION FORUM, if you don't want to read it don't click on the thread.
This thread is NOT special in any way and is NOT limited to links or ads.

C) I do not like the idea of moving this to the Contributor's Lounge as that is not the purpose of the CL (hiding something) and this thread started to help the Calguns COMMUNITY, not a few specific people.
Nor is it limited to those some people 'approve of'.

I refer you back to 'A' and advise paying attention, because while this thread will not go anywhere the same can't be said about everything.

I have really tried to stay out of the back and forth statements regarding recent events as usually it doesn't add anything good or useful to the thread but I feel I should give my input here after following your posts over the last few days.

Please keep in mind I say this in the upmost respect as I do get where you are coming from and I am all for helping fellow Calgunners out. However it seems you are giving the Facebookers a little too much credit. Yes, there may have been links ongoing since 2009 however there is proof that was posted a few pages back that those Facebookers are not getting links from their own work, SW, or any other "Free on the Internet" site. They are getting the links directly from here... As seen in the post regarding Facebookers complaining about yellow dresses in their carts. I highly doubt someone else created those links on SW or any other site.

On a second note, I assume the majority of people that follow this thread are from California. We all know how bad a shape our gun laws are here. I would prefer to do everything in my power on or off the computer to get as many Californians interested in shooting sports and if that means giving the "head start" to Calgunners and allowing themselves, their friends, and their family to get .22 ammo and bringing the ammo to CA, I'm all for it... Chances are the California boy scouts, training programs, and new shooter events will also benefit as more ammo is in the state. The more people we have interested in shooting sports the better, as we will have them on our side when it comes to fighting for our gun laws in this state (it's hard enough as it is with all the anti-gun people that live here). Heck... even the flippers on this site are at least keeping the ammo in CA and allowing local shooters to enjoy the sport. Not to mention it will help keep the local shops in better check on their pricing of 22LR...

You are free to do what you will but it just seems like you are making it little too easy for the Facebookers to "cut in line" and leave the rest of the Calguns community one step behind.

I'm just rambling my thoughts and maybe it will or will not even make a bit of difference but anything is possible and every little bit can help.

Good luck with that. He posts this over and over and over even though we can all use search.

Mods didnt want it in contributor only it actually might be good for calguns to get the public exposure???
