When did you receive the in-stock backorder email from Midway? Earlier today?

If you wait too long to move the backordered item to your cart, Midway may think you don't want the item anymore, and you might lose your place in line.

I think it is a good idea to respond quickly to those emails from Midway and add the items to your cart and checkout.

Or, it could just be a mistake, and you should call Midway Customer Service.

Its been a day or so. I had a few backorders on the same invoice and was under the impression they held the items for you for 90 days if all the items aren't all in. At least that's what it says on their backorder page. So their backorder process is actually useless if you have to jump on it as soon as they email?

If you backordered something it means you already bought it and have an order # for it. You don't need to do anything if thats the only thing on your order. Midway doesn't have the best reputation for honoring backorders first though.

If you signed up for a notification when it was back in stock then its first come first serve of the thousands of people that got that email.

Midway is not my first choice when it comes to ammo because of their much higher shipping charges and small quantity limits.

Nevertheless if you combined it with other items that you were already planning to order then it isn't so bad. For me, it has to be something that I wanted first before looking at the ammo. For some additional items (especially if they're light or small), the shipping is only slightly more when combined with the ammo.

Midway's quantity ammo back-orders may yet work out, but I think a little luck is in order.

BINGO! 22lr Ammo is the cherry on top for most of my orders from them. I wouldn't rely on them for the bulk of my ammo supply. Only exception I would say is CCI minimags since they're prices on those are way lower the Cabelas or Gander that it pretty much evens out the higher shipping cost.

It was an actual backorder, my cart has it listed as "backordered products available to ship" but when I try to check out, it tells me they are out of stock. I guess I'll have to call them tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys.

If its a real backorder you shouldn't have to do anything. If they are going to honor your backorder your card will get charged and the item shipped to you.

I don't understand how you are trying to add it to your cart and check out again.

How long have you been waiting for that back-order? I've read from some people's posts here they still have stuff they are waiting on since Nov or Dec of 2012.

I had multiple backorders on the same invoice, so you are given the option of waiting until everything is in stock or partial shipping what they do have, which is done by adding available backorders to your cart and checking out. Its only been a few months, but they emailed that part of my backorder is in stock, and options to wait or send what they have immediately, only its telling me there is insufficient inventory, which shouldn't happen because they supposedly hold your items for 90 days.

A few weeks ago, when Midway made available a number of 22LR items for backorder, I backordered some items. Last week, I received an email from Midway that one of the items was available. I immediately added the item to my cart and purchased the item. It was shipped and it has arrived.

Even though I could have probably waited for more items to arrive and save on the shipping cost, I believe that it is unrealistic to think that Midway is really going to put 22LR on a shelf somewhere with my name on it. It takes them minutes to sell any 22LR they have, even though many feel that their shipping costs are too high.

So, when items are available on my backorders, I'm going to take them up on it..right now, before they sell it to somebody else. That's just my opinion, and I'm glad that they made the decision to offer 22LR backorders at all.

I had to see for myself. Orderded 500 rounds of 22 lr from gradysoutdoors.com. an east coast Co. , it cost around $ 10.00 to ship.
Next I ordered one box of 45 Acp from midway. $3.00 for handling plus $ 15.00 and change to ship. I canceled the order and left a note for Mr. Larry Potterfield. Confirmed, midway is greedy.
