I have thought about reloading, but how much is the investment to get going? I wish I had a buddy I could team up with.To hell with Wally World and their games! We get a lot more ammo around here without leaving the comforts of my residence, that alone is a saving than running to all the Wally Worlds.
I will be honest, I did that in the beginning and it got old very quick!
A friend of mine turned me on to reloading my ammo and now reload all my 223, 243, 30-06, 6.8 spc, 22-250, 9mm, 40 cal, 380, 45apc's.
If I could reload 22's I would.sigpicThey who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. - Ben FranklinComment

Honestly, right now it's freaking expensive and hard to find powder, if you started now, you can bet on spending at least $1500 for everything you need. A lot of cost up front but worthwhile. It takes one to know one.Comment

The initial set up expense is a little costly. Just depends on what you want, how much manual labor you want to us. You can spend more for some reloading equipment that cuts reloading steps/time down. Benefits are You cans customize your rounds to your weapon for nice tight groupings, reuse that brass over and over until it can no longer be used. Buy bulk reloading components and always have on hand. Make as much as you want, when you want at a fraction of the cost.
I love it, it's relaxing, great hobby for my son and father-in-law to do together. The ER is for emERgencies sigpic !!!Comment

I was in the same boat.
Until I found this thread!
Get there a little before 7 and hang out until they brought out the ammo and hope there was some when it was my turn. WE ONLY GET ONE BOX.
They did that because one of the ammo flippers was showing up O'dark thirty with his two adult kids and wife and they'd get an entire 10 box case - none for anybody else. :roll eyes:
Now I giggle when I see the line.

Yes, powder was a little difficult to obtain at first for all round wanting to reload, one of the biggest decision makers for me to reload was California's flip'n new hunting with lead free ammo. So yes, I mainly did it to load lead free ammo because it was very hard to come by.
