Ammo Finds - Post them here

It comes up every couple days. Better too often than have somebody pull the trigger on a cato. So far nobody here has mentioned having anything from those lots, so I don't think it was real recent.

Talked to a friend last night and he has 2000rds of the Winchester M22 that is part of the recall. He's pretty pissed about it too. He had stood in line at a Walmart in Iowa for a couple hours to get them too.

Possibly including In-Store transactions as well? I've never shopped at a Brick-n-Mortar Cabelas to know if their receipts start with the same digits?

The order numbers include other purchases that dont include ammo. There are other stuff to buy from cabela's other ammo haha.

One of the Walmarts here in Southwest Florida had the "bad" M-22's about 3-4 weeks ago. One of my shooting buddies was one of the unfortunate ones who bought one. Iowa and Florida, anywhere else??

is that normal or do they extend it?

The main reason I would get the card is for the shipping. All the other retailers are pretty expensive on the shipping so the CC makes Cabelas the best for ammo.

I was surprised that it's still available at all. When I got my Club Visa card last summer, they said the "clubfive" $5.00 flat rate shipping would only last through the remainder of 2013.

I got my card in the early fall. The deal at that time was $5 til the end of the year. On 1-1-14 it was extended to 5-31-14. I can remember this $5 offer over a year ago, but I can't say it was available the for the entire year of 2013. I THINK it was. I wish I would have started with the card, as no matter where I am, I'm at least 400 miles from the nearest Cabelas, so for the most part, "ship to store" is not an option.

There's no charge for the card. If the shipping deal ends, don't use the card. When you do use it for anything, like most or all CC's, you get "cash back". In Cabelas case, cash to be spent only at Cabelas. From time to time you probably find some other things you would like at Cabelas, esp items on sale. When I bought my 10-22's, I bought two packs of their 4 pack magazines which were around $57 for 4. I combined it with some ammo and some T-shirts to bring the total up to $150 and got another $20 off at the time. A word of WARNING. Because I used the $20 promotion, I could NOT use the ClubFive promotion. It came to be a better deal to pay the shipping and get $20 off. Also, I think Cabelas has raised their shipping fees since then.

One last note. From mid November through Christmas of last year, Cabelas had free shipping offers on any and all orders. As one expired another kicked in. I don't know if this is what usually happens over the holidays. You can find the shipping offers here at Calguns or at slickguns/cabelas. I also use Cabelas web site to find out about the shipping offers.

anyone ordered ammo thru PSA lately ? i ordered on the 30th, they charged my card on the 3rd and it has yet to ship. And of course the customer service is closed on the weekends. I know putting a hold/pending on credit card is normal but what the heck are they doing charging my card at least a week before they ship ? They did not used to be like this last spring and summer when I was ordering ammo from them

Pretty normal. I've seen anything from a week to 6 weeks before they ship, on some items.
