Lot's of things are prohibited, but that doesn't stop people from doing them. Selling ammo on CL is a cat and mouse game. Usually the ads are up long enough for people to bite. Or you can just use backpage...

just received my federal "fresh fire" ammo tin can and it was crushed and opened, defeating the purpose of long term storage. I called cabelas and all they did for me was refund me $2. I guess I should have demanded more for shipping.

Have not managed to make it to Gander Ammopalloza yet. Is it a back door like Cabela's or is it front facing sale (i.e. there and gone in 30 secs.)? Links from past few Gander nights seem to be links to the regular site.

don't think it's "back door" just normal links provided that you know the sku or item #, it can be bought just like any other product with a sku or item number.
