Just rec'd this from SG: "Dear Valued Customer, You asked us to notify you when this item became available for purchase: # 206311-000-000 - 375RD .22 LR 40GR CPRN TACTIAL 22. Unfortunately we have been informed that this item will not be available for purchase since it has been discontinued. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please browse The Sportsman's Guide for other items, or give us a call toll-free at 1-800-882-2962. Thank you for understanding. We appreciate your business! Customer Service"

Either here, or on another ammo-searching forum, someone had posted that CCI and maybe another manufacturer were going to discontinue some of the bulk packs in favor of producing smaller bulk packs for the same price, or perhaps a higher price. Looks like CCI is phasing this one out. Hope things get better soon; this constant hunt for .22LR due to some recent purchases is killing my eyes and eating up my time, and with very little to show for it.

Walmart on Mchenry in Modesto has CCI Stingers in 50 round plastic boxes for $6.47 each. Limit three per person. They had maybe 30 to 50 boxes on the shelf. They don't sell it after 10 pm so it should still be there in the morning. Lots of 5.56 as well.

I don't get why people pay $50+ for .22 lr when you can get 9mm for around $100 for 500 rounds.

My order from Midway was cancelled two weeks ago. Yes the chootem's and the tactical bulk boxes have been discontinued. They changed the box to hold less ammo now. I Haven't seen the new boxes yet.

Kids don't like shooting 9mm. Kids love shooting the 10/22 and sometimes parents are forced to pay these prices to make a range day happen. That's just my guess.

Anyone have any experience with their backorders? Would jump on it, but heard all the stories about the buckets being pushed back till Nov 2014!

I bought bricks of Aguila .22LR for $56 last march at the Del Mar gun show. Last month they were selling there for $70 or more. Looks like prices are now higher than during the spring freak out.

Ya I'm with you. If anything it seems like prices are going up. Its certainly true in the marketplace at least.
