I think it shouldn't be that difficult to determine the root cause with a little research.
For example: Remington, are they still at the same production level but just have increased orders? If no, why? Less available powder? Brass? Lead? My guess would be powder.
Next determine why there is less available powder. Manufacturer producing the same but more orders or less raw materials available? More laws making production harder?
I once listened to someone discussing the various liberal gun grabbing strategies. The most disturbingly devious to me was that they figured they can't take our guns so they will stop our ammo. 2nd amendment doesn't protect our ammo...
