I'll bet they only lasted so long because the parking lot only holds 3 cars, and two spaces are taken by employees. :-)

Well the .22 lr shortage does not look like its going away anytime soon.

Here we are a year later and people are still going ape **** over .22 lr...

I think thats mostly localized and maybe even the worst in Socal. At least as far as CA goes.

My mother lives in Albuquerque. i figured i'd get her to grab me some from Walmart. Wrong, same situation out there.

Asked a few buddies in Colorado Springs, same...Des Moines...same...Chicago, Great Lakes, Grennel..its not just here and not just Walmart.

I was in Colorado Springs over the holidays. I got .22lr there, Walmart seemed to be getting 10-20 bulk boxes each shipment in various brands about once a week, but they would sell out immediately when they brought out the ammo. They also got a smattering of CCI Mini-Mags and other smaller quantity boxes with the shipments. Fortunately, I'm in milk and ammo for my 22's until I have to go back out to Colorado in May.

Bay Area Gun Vault in Mountain View had Rem GB 525 boxes on the shelf this afternoon. Not a bargain at $40 but its there if you're in need.

I was in Arizona after Xmas up to New Years. Visited 2 Walmarts in/near Flagstaff plus 2 Walmarts near Pheonix and Cabelas, in Glendale = no 22lr on the shelves. Lots of overpriced 556/223, but I did manage to buy quite a few Federal bulk 9mm at around $24/100 with no limit.
It does look like its the same everywhere not just California.

Yeah it's getting bad again, no ammo finds recently on this thread either. Cabelas has slowed down again after a hot streak of bulk packs.

It's definitely slowed. For a long time Gander and Natchez had mini mags with semi reasonable limits all the time. And now they don't. Has CCI switched production to something else? Is the production going somewhere else like walmart where it has no visibility to us? It's all very strange.

I think it has more to do with the holidays the last two weeks for places like cabelas/gander. Holidays in the middle of the week coupled with the last minute holiday rush and probable short staff.

I believe there is probably a fair amount of ammo waiting in warehouses to be logged into inventory to be sold meaning get those credit cards ready and check your account settings this week could be fast and furious
