I see what you are doing, but it is pretty simple. There is only ONE calculation of PRICE PER ROUND. "DELIVERED PRICE PER ROUND". Price per round without factoring in shipping and "flat" fees or "ammo" fees or tax is irrelevant and useless.I guess it get more noticeable the more orders are placed. If you only place one order for 100 rounds at .05 a round and pay $5 total for shipping you really only spent .10 a round.
If you place 10 orders of 100 at .05 a round and pay $5 each order you still only spent .10 a round but $50 total on shipping. Ouch.
Where as a single order of 1000 at .05 a round would only cost you $15-20 in shipping and .06-.07 a round
It would be worth it to order a single 100 round pack for 10 bucks shipped considering my personal ammo situation but I would probably rethink ten at once only because Im poor and $50 at once is a considerable amount of cash.
Free shipping I completely understand though
I always use DELIVERED price per round and I calculate it myself. You decide what your limit is and stick to it (for example .056 for Golden Bullets MAX, and .08 for CCI Mini-mags MAX)
I agree it is not worth it to order a $6.99 box of 100 and pay $5.95 shipping... hopefully no one does that. BUT it is totally worth it to order one $23.99 525 bulk pack ammo with $5 shipping and do it multiple times if you can (.055 per round). That per round cost is about the same as a ordering multiple Buckets from Gander, so it is a great deal and you don't have to come up with hundres of dollars for one order to get a decent price per round delivered. Cabela's is the best. With free shipping, even better. Even with NO DISCOUNT codes, Cabela's is very fair. $8.95 shipping on a 2100 round can of Federal bulk? AWESOME.
Like I said, if the cost per round is worth it for one order, it is worth it for three. Sorry bout

I'm in Denver this week, went to Cabelas to look around. HOLY CRAP - Thier ammo shelves are FULL. TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PRIMERs on the shelf, all kinds of bullets, powder, for handguns and rifles.
If I wasn't flying, I'd be bringing a lot more home.Never shoot a large caliber man with a small caliber bullet.Comment

If anyone is in Pico Rivera (CA), Walmart expecting a truckload of ammo Friday morning. I was there this AM looking for 22rl (SOL) but I couldn't pass up Winchester 115 gr FMJ for $25 per box of 100. There were 10 boxes remaining when I left..

$25 for 500 rounds of .22lr Winchester 36 gr at each store, limit one per customer, at least 300 units for sale at each store, in store only....doors open at 5am and sale ends at 11am
that comes to 5.45 cents per round including sales tax @ 9%

also Dicks advertsing $19.98 Remington .22lr 325? pack limit 1 per customer 6.7 cents per round when 9% sales tax included, starting Nov 28 at 8pm
