Recent experience with Gander

9/6 Ordered 2 buckets that were in stock

9/7 Received an email saying they were back ordered

9/9 Called customer service to verify that they were back ordered and was told yes they were and they would ship as soon as they were back in stock

9/11 Noticed that the buckets came back in stock and that my order was still in process and back ordered. I called customer service again was told that my order was now being cancelled because they do not back order ammunition even though I received a back order email and was told by customer service that they would be shipped as soon as they were back in stock.

I know the customer service manager was FOS because other people here who ordered at the same time and got the back order email did get them shipped at a later date. If they would have told me that my order was cancelled I would have bought more today.

Gander's ordering and email system as well as customer service sucks. If this happened to you call them escalate to a manager. I sent multiple emails and received no response.

I backordered 2 "Backorderable" buckets a couple of weeks ago. The order was filled in a couple days and shipped. I received them last week from FedEx. Gander does backorder ammunition. I'm in the same boat as you are. Two buckets on backorder from last Thursday. Just hope they honor it.

Good. When your turn comes to be filled, it will change to Order Shipped. You will then receive an update email with the tracking number.

If they can't fill it because their system was overwhelmed, you should receive a cancellation email.

Mine was from a Friday 9/6/13 that got backordered. Posted earlier.

My order from Friday 9/6/13 that got backordered left the waypoint of Kernersville, NC at 8:12AM this morning. ETA home is Friday 9/13/13
It shows weight at 22lbs so it looks like there are 2 buckets in that one package.

Note to self: Do not call gander about your backordered ammo.
