Not cheap this time @ $8.99 Each.
That's how much it was last time, too.

Some from turners FV told me that they are no longer putting everything out when the shipment arrives. They trickle it out over a few days.

The store I was at before was signal hill. My usual is fountain valley. They seem to be playing by different rules.

Anyhow, the point of my last post as well as this one is that turners has some 22lr. They are slowly putting it on the shelves. It is a crap shoot ...

I was planning on buying another 22 from their fall sale, hope they have some left to sell with the gun!

Yeh...either I'm getting too old, or mixing up all my orders/pricing from Cabelas, Gander, Midway, etc.

Thanks for the post. They're sold out now. It doesn't say so on the page yet, but when you try to put it in the cart, the out of stock message pops up.

Is the CCI that much better than the Golden Bullet? I can't justify the cost per round.

Thanks in advance. I picked up the 525 count golden bullets for $30 shipped. .06 a round shipped is better than what I can do locally.

I'm no .22 expert but from the research I've done mini mags seem to be one of the most popular rounds out there. I don't think I've read about anybody not liking them (aside from the price). From the limited research I've done this seems to be the popularity chart when it comes to big name brand .22 ammo:

                CCI
                Federal
                Winchester
                Remington

Of course I'm sure there are people out there that might disagree with me on that.

Mini mags are awesome, but I would not waste them punching holes in paper. Golden bullets are OK, but not worth getting excited about.

Depends on how close you want those holes to be to each other, I'd think.

I'll go along with that except swap the last two. Only because I am liking Golden Bullets now - still don't know about Winchester.

For me, CCI Mini-Mag Round Nose/solids in the 100 round tray is the most universally compatible reliable round for my rifles, pistols, conversions. Nothing else works in 100% of them, but there are others that are good. Federal Automatch, Federal Bulk, Golden Bullet bulk packs.

If I only had mini-mag solids I could shoot anything, and accurately. BUT they are all accurate enough for me.

Otherwise I need two or more types. Example: Automatch is great but jams up my Glock conversion, Golden Bullets are 100% in it (same in my Walther P22 - my most hated gun). Automatch works in other guns 100% where Golden Bullets are not 100%. CCI mini-mag solids run everything.

GOLDEN BULLETS win the prize for most bang for the buck right now (in my guns).

.046 or so per round cheapest (CABELA's $60 BUCKET O BULLETS with $5 shipping)

GANDER BUCKET O BULLETS is about .055 per round if you buy 2+ buckets

CABELA'S GOLDEN BULLET 525 pack is .055 per round also

CABELA'S Mini-mag Choot 'em pack would be about .088 per round

CABELA'S Mini-mag trays would be about .095 per round

MIDWAY $15 325 pack of AUTOMATCH will be $.065-.09 per round depending on shipping which usually sucks from Midway - and you are definitely trying to pad the shipping cost by ordering other calibers there

If I have Automatch, mini-mag solids, and GB's I am COVERED for reliability AND cheap shooting. YMMV.

There might be other winners or leaders too that I haven't tested... who knows, Win M22 might be the CAT'S MEOW and work in everything for $50 per 1000 plus shipping.

I'm curious, what do you use mini mags for then? Hunting?
