How do DPMS .22 lr uppers compare to CMMG?

Looks like a great upper... I'd prefer that to my A3 with front sight, except for the weight since I went with a light weight CMMG one.

Reviews are right, and price is right. The only thing I'd wonder about is the BCG compared to CMMG.

**bolt group is not compatible with CMMG type, catch22 BHO, etc... and upper is specific to .22

http://www.gunaccessories.us/caliber..._kits_s/33.htm - Cal's has the CMMG 20" Gov profile upper and the M4 profile in stock. About 20 units of each. They ship fast. ($399 and $449) I ordered my lightweight from them for about $380 back when they had some.

They also have the CF500-057 Chiappa .22 upper for CHEAP - $265, but this is the model hat comes with 28 round mag, so I dunno what can be done about that unless they would just remove it. Some places will not do that. Chiappa has a CF500-056 kit that includes a ten rounder.

I am happy with my CMMG .22 lr upper, it runs like a top with most any ammo.

That DPMS upper with its heavy profile barrel and free floated handguard looks like it would make a nice "scoped presision" setup. Thing is, CMMG parts are easy to get, it does not even look like you can get spare parts for that DPMS.

Time to disappear from this thread for a while. I did something stupid and bought a stripped JD Machine .308 billet lower. I think all of you know where my money is going over the next year or so. Thanks for all of the leads and success stories. It makes this forum fun.

Congrats. Have fun with that project. I have been eyeing FNAR's, M1A's and M&P 10's but I doubt I will get to have a semi .308

I have one more project to go... swapping my A2 upper for a A3 stripped upper on my old gun. Besides that, just a few lowers for storage maybe and a poly lower for my .22 upper.

I sold my CMMG because I could never get it to run right. I have Tactical Solutions and the DPMS, both are great. Just my opinion.
