Pure speculation here, but I don't see the C even caring. Why put effort in to fix if the product is being sold. Officially I am sure their position is "we want to close it down" but in reality, I just don't think they care.

They could have fixed it in about 20 seconds if they really wanted to. It's been being used since 2009, so I'd say they have had ample opportunity to do so if they wanted.

However, once it starts costing them too much time to answer the cry baby, "free stuffers", who somehow think life is "fair", and the world should operate the way they think, then I agree 100% that the big C will expend the 20 seconds it should take to eliminate the "feature".

Realize of course that they would likely have to kill it globally, and who knows how much referral business they get from it in things other than 22lr...so the key answer is "when". I think if they survived the face-yuck storm, one little forum will seem like a gnat attacking an elephant in terms of total pain versus lost business.

So, it seems to me, the answer is to use the referral cart feature to buy other things, so they see benefit in keeping the "feature" alive...

As for the cart "feature". I bet if we called Cabelas enough they would shut it down (true or false). My point is, if enough people complain you can bet they will close the loop on this thing and make the shopping cart fix. If you honestly think this is how Cabelas wants their shopping card links to work I have an empty box of cci for you. In fact, since your so sure this if FUD, lets post the shopping cart all over the internet, facebook, Ten, SW, GlockTalk, AR-15, etc. etc. then we will know who the FUD spreader is.
