Stingers are not worth the extra price. There are no performance gains using hyper velocity round. Most folks will agree that you should shoot the cheapest .22LR ammo you can find and that will cycle your pistol. If your pistol cycles fine with high velocity rounds (i.e. Minimags), then you're simply wasting money buying Stingers.

I agree. And I do usually shoot the cheaper .22LR (Federal bulk, Winchester, Remington, CCI Blazer, American Eagle, etc.), but the Stingers are a lot of fun to shoot every now and then. Makes your .22LR feel like a 9 at times.Stingers are not worth the extra price. There are no performance gains using hyper velocity round. I just picked up mine last Wednesday from a 10 day wait, I tested it today and I am very happy and satisfied with it. I used a variety of ammo from cci mini mags hp, velocitor, federal bulk, cci blazer. All in all I shot 500 rounds and 5 FTf only from cci blazer ammo. The rest is all good.Comment

What kind of grips do you have on there? Do you like their performance?Comment

I got two questions before a purchase...
Sights: Are the center fire sights compatible with the MP22?
Magazines: where can I find them?Comment

Yup, love them. Just apply a little heat afterwards, otherwise, easy to install.
They're the X-Treme laser cut grips from Powder River Precision:

Just picked up my M&P22 today...man, that thing was just soaking in factory grease - gave it a thorough cleaning. Barrel was pretty dirty - weird considering its brand new from factory (I mean, the test shots couldn't have been that dirty??)
Can't wait to shoot it!!! Now if I could only find some mags!!!Comment

I hear that you can install both but may have to file them down a tad bit. I purchased the Meprolight sights Part# ML11766 and my gunsmith got them in and zero'd without filing and without any issue. They were pretty cheap. It was a toss up for me between Night Sights and the truglo fiber optic sights. The ability to shoot zombies in zero light per my lawyers suggestion won but the truglo's were only $52.99 on Amazon I was so tempted and they are still on my wish list in case I get one for my girl. The Meprolights were only $82.00 on ebay. Magazines are no where to be found. Still waiting on mine from S&W, They are the cheapest for the Mags on back order so I would call and order some. But look at the bright side, at least 22LR is easy and fast to load.

S&W M&P 22 Recoil Spring
I've put a few thousand rounds on her and don't need them just yet but does anyone know where to get some or better yet, maybe some after market ones? Or maybe if you know the size and how many pounds are on the OEM one so maybe we can get one that fits from another pistol so we can play around with the weight slightly. Suggestions? Ideas? Comments?Comment

They cost a a tad bit more, but you won't regret it.
