Went out and hit Los Altos Gun Club today to shoot the 50 and 100yd scoped targets. Scored 140 on the 50 scoped, and 56 (if I scored correctly) on the 100 yd scoped. 50 high score was shot with Federal UM22 UltraMatch, and the 100 high score was shot with SK std+. Both scores shot with a Savage MKII BV with a Nikon Buckmasters 6-18x40 scope.
I scored the 100 as follows. 12, 12, 10, 9, 9 for 52. Bonus points for two, two shot groups at 4pts. Total 56. I can also read it as two individual groups at 1 pt each for 54. Jury???

Shot the 100yd scoped target yesterday with Savage 93r17 BTVS using Hornady .17HMR V-Max 17gr ammo. A little wind but don't think it affected the outcome that much. Shot another target with a much tighter group but it was off the bull. Score-58.

Shot the 100yd scoped target again today. Didn't improve the score much but I sure liked the group better. Savage .17HMR, Vortex 8-32X scope set on 24X (might have improved the group) and Hornady 17gr V-max ammo. Score-59.

Just more proof that:

1. 32X magnification is not always best, lower is sometimes better.
2. If you are willing to spend the $$$ on endless ammo you might shoot a good group.
3. It's nice to be lucky cause you don't have to practice luck.

Is this bolt only? I have a Marlin 60 and a 795 thats getting out of jail soon. Can I give it a try. If not I'll use my savage .17 bolt.

Any rimfire rifle and rimfire caliber for the rifle targets, any rimfire pistol or revolver and rimfire caliber for the pistol targets. Semi-autos are fine.

OK folks, finally got out to ASR today for some rare shooting.

25yds=126pts used 10/22 tech sights
50yds scoped=136pts used CZ452 American with a Mueller APV scope.

It was fun to finally get out and throw some lead down range. Tried the Winchester 9422 with little success. I liked my new sights-Lyman globe front/ Williams rear combo, but need to find the right ammo.
