    Nikon Rimfire Scope Rebates

Nikon is offering a $50 rebate on three Prostaff Rimfire Riflescopes. See nikonhunting.com for details on the rebate. The scopes are the 4x with duplex reticle, 3-9X40MM with BDC Reticle and Target EFR 3-9X40MM AO with a Target Dot Reticle. The scopes have received very good reviews but check them out yourself (don't just take my word).

Nikon also has software called "Spot On" available online for determining ranges for the various points on the BDC reticle for different .22lr ammo. Pretty interesting. Allows you to print out pictures of the reticle with the distances for different ranges. Ammo in the database is for .22lr, .22WMR and .17HMR or you can enter the specs for other ammo. There are a couple of video tutorials on the web for how to use the softare.

I ordered one of the 3.9X40MM BDC Reticle scopes from Opticsplanet.com. $150 - $50 Mail in rebate, total cost $100. Hard to beat I think. Buying is not, repeat not mandatory.

It makes the 4x32 close to $50! This would be the best percent off deal of all in my opinion.

Thank You Izzy, had the opticsplanet page open to one of these scopes when I checked in here. Perfect for the CZ-455 I grabbed for my son (or at least that's what I tell him and his mom).

I think the only better deal on a scope would be to find a Weaver or Leupold laying on the ground somewhere. I ordered 3 of those from OpticsPlanet. Can never have too many scopes. Those scopes are fully multicoated with 98% light transfer. Unheard of at this price point. Made in the Phillipines by the way in the same factory that produces the high-end Nikons, Burris and Weaver scopes. Should be a great scope.

Don't forget to check out the "Spot On" program @ nikonhunting.com. I have made reticle cards for all the 22lr ammo that I shoot showing the distances for each of the BDC circles on that scope. Each card shows aimpoints for 13 different distances, just hope they are accurate.

We (or I at least) would love to see a range report!! This almost makes me want to have my Stevens 84C D&T'd so i can have an excuse to buy one.

Mine should be here within a week. I'll mount and take to the range and give a report on function, clarity, etc. I have a number of different scopes, Weaver, Vortex, Simmons so I'll have something to compare it to.

Also going to see how the software generated ranges for the reticle work out as far as accuracy. I think the rebate only applies until April 28 and the scope must be purchased from an authorized Nikon dealer or the rebate will not be honored.

This is an example of what the software generates:

That's a good deal and I'm also interested in your report.
                    Thanks.

I wonder if the strelok app already has this reticle? I sent an email about my Vortex scope and the update was sent within an hour.

That is what I was thinking. For $60 (after rebate) that is a pretty smoking deal.
