Bummer, I have heard about that happening from some of the reviews online. They mentioned that ATI shipped them a new one. Pictures if you can please, and let us know how the customer service route goes, hopefully it won't happen to others, but it would be great to know how to handle it if it did happen. Sorry Phil.
+1 for TDS. I got my ODG27 when they had them last.

There have been alot of problems associated with the newer, plastic, fluted guide rod that GSG has been putting in the pistols. Supposedly, ATI is aware of the problem and has been working with GSG to get it resolved. The earlier GSG 1911 had a solid guide rod that was virtually problem free... it seems that they went to this as a "cost savings." Right.
There have been a bunch of posts about this on Rimfire Central and the 1911 forums and the good, cheap, permanent fix appears to be this SS guide rod (scroll down...): http://www.cwaccessories.com/services.html
The guys that have bought them give them good reviews. I have no affiliation with the link.
ATI has very good customer service as well. You should call them immediately and advise them of the failure; they will send you replacement parts at no charge.Comment
