Here's the biggest problem with the Turners in Reseda -- if you are shopping, then they have no patience.
Sometimes I've read an article about a particular gun, and go down to Turners to see if they have one, to see how it hefts, aims, etc., while I'm there, I might want to see how that Sako TRG feels -- and by the time I ask for the second gun, the salesman knows I'm probably not buying, and he loses total interest in helping me, not understanding that if he wasn't a Dick, I might very well buy from them.

If you see the Turner's ad and know exactly what you want to buy. you may do okay.
    BTW
Buy one of those Benelli MR1s while they are on sale. They rock.

      Just my 2 cents worth...

I have to agree with the OP and what most have said here.

I have been treated more than rudely at Turner's Reseda. But I've also been treated rudely at most gun shops. At Del Taco, the local Coffee shop, most gas stations, 7-11's, and everywhere else that I didn't walk into with a $100,000 in cash sticking out of my shirt pocket. Welcome to California.

Customer service is a thing of the past. Unless you are a celebrity looking to buy a new Bentley, rudenss is the norm. Personally I blame today's youth and even more than that - their parents. They have all learned that there is no need to do a good job - just skate through, pick up your check, and if you are fired, oh well... there is always that other Del Taco down the street. The blame also falls on company management - if an employee is not doing their job, it's managements job to straighten that out.

On the other hand, back a number of years ago when Turners West Covina have a big fire, I bought the contents of the store that was not destroyed or confiscated by the insurance company. No guns or ammo - but all the accessories, magazines, etc.

After picking through semi loads of merchandise and taking what I wanted for myself and my buddies, I decided Ebay would be the place to get rid of it all. (I hadn't heard about this board at the time). So I listed it all on Ebay at some pretty outstanding prices.

Let me tell you - I have never dealt with a ruder and more arrogant group of buyers than gun folks. I was taken back at some of the demands the buyers put on me. I was taken back at some of the complaints I received.

The two situations that finally made me pull all my listings down was a LEO that purchased a Pro-Mag from me. There were pictures of all the items and complete descriptions of each item. He had mistakenly (he didn't bother to read the descrtiption) a magazine that he thought was original Mfg. He paid something like $5.00 +Priority Mail shipping. He wrote me a scathing email and wanted to return it. Fine by me. I explained that if he sent it back in saleable condition I would refund his complete purchase price +Return shipping. A week later I got it back. Beaten flat by a hammer. Nice. I emailed him and told him this was competely out of line and would not refund his money being that I can't sell it now. He emailed back with a threat that "He and his cop buddies" were going to drop by and put the beat down on me. For a $5 magazine that was exactly what I described in the listing.

The second situation was Ebay pulled a few of my listings because someone had complained that I had put misleading descriptions in the titles. It was over a magazine for some Smith semi-auto that read something like "New Pro-Mag magazine for S&W M39". The complaint was that I was selling a "non S&W magazine but describing it AS S&W". I was not. It was clear in the title and description this was an aftermarket magazine FOR a particular S&W. The person complained directly to Ebay and had my listings pulled.

Now I have never run into that kind of treatment here - but I have never dealt with a more demanding and rude group of people than Internet Gun buyers.

(I can just feel the flames that are coming my way now!)

I understand the other side of the coin. Most customers are rude and arrogant and more than demanding. That's no excuse for an employee to treat you rude - but I understand where they are coming from to an extent.

Personally, I just smile and get my business done. Maybe never to return to that store. I don't even bother complaining to management anymore, most times they are as bad as the employees.

      It's a sad situation, but that's Kalifornia.
