I would be interested moving my f sight base forward on my M4LE to make it a midlength. I actually prefer the midlength over the carbine. I just don't think the sight base will be able to pin onto anything

The front sight block is pinned.
The railed gas blocks are not.
There will be new barrel options coming out. I know that does not help you now but you could always sell the M4 profile and replace it with another profile barrel.

Are they releasing a midlength w/ f sight in the future?

They asked my opinion of it and I told them I thought it would sell. Options are a good thing.
