    Thanks

The thickness I used was I think .020..It may even be a little more than I needed..But it fires 100% reliable now..But does your have the long flat spring or is your spring more internal to the receiver if later version than mine?

Mine is the long earlier flat type spring that goes forward under the barrel for about 4 inches..If yours is internal spring type in the receiver..This may or may not work for you..I can post a pic of my spring setup if you need me to..

Did you ever find the forearm wood for yours?

Rust blue that thing! Call Bob and ask him which formula gives that deep blue/black color on Winchesters because of the nickle content in the steel, he'll know which one to use. Tell him Trap sent you too.

I haven't looked for a forearm yet due to competing priorities. I need to call Macon.

          No problem

          Trap

I have read up quite a bit on rust blueing in the past..Just have never mustered up the patience to give it a try..My buddy and are have been contemplating starting up a small blueing service at his Gun/Machine Shop..

May have to make a cabinet of some sort and give it a try..

With all the Calif BS for Haz/Mat and bluing chemicals, it near impossible to find anyone that does hot blue anymore. When you do, they're back logged for months.
I had a sweatbox I made from plywood, but the easiest to make, and more efficient is the PVC pipe steamer. Works a lot faster.

Thanks that PVC is something I may have to try.

Funny thing, I use PVC Pipe for parkerizing...

I have a good friend that's a stock maker with a duplicator I could hook you up with if need be. Prices are reasonable too. The catch is, he needs one to duplicate.

Back home with a working keyboard so able to engage in discussions now.

I am definitely interested if its a later version forearm. Thanks for the effort!

If he gets back me and has it for sure..I will sure let you know. Of course it will be yours for the cost and shipping..Not looking to profit personally..

My 1920s Marlin 410 Shareholders Lever Action Shotgun forearm is at Gunville right now getting duplicated for my buddy, so he has one..Getting nervous, though I am sure Mark will get it back soon though..That gets lost..I will never find another..

Fella sent pics and price..I will forward the pics tomorrow if you want to PM your email to me..Or I can post them here if you want..He wants 125.00 shipped..

He found the nose cap, barrel band and barrel band spring..Bad part is there are few small holes running down each side or the forearm..For what purpose is anyone guess..But it is a nice looking solid stock..I think with a little work it would cleanup very nice..Or I know I could make it look very nice.. Metal will require some cleanup and finish work also..

But I think with these..I think it is a great price. Very hard to find..

As I said I paid a pretty penny for my whole set..I told him I would take it either way..But it may cost Toro actual shipping on top of the 125.00 from my place to his, if he wants it....

Here are the pics he sent me.
