Winchetser 1885? Trap?

Sounds like missing parts for a single set trigger. Wasn't uncommon to strip the delicate fine threads on the screw. Single set has that adjustment screw behind the trigger, double set in front and between the two triggers.Works better than the shooting off the top of my 4 Runner though
Trap a question for you..I discovered I may be missing a part looking at the diagrams I have found..There is something called a knockoff spring and screw shown in the drawings, well I do not have one..There is a extra hole in the lower tang for a screw to go through, and a slot in the lower tang that looks like it is for a spring..
I found one, will order one if needed....
Dumb question but is it supposed to be there? Or were the springs maybe only used with the double set triggers? I think it is supposed to be there myself..
Toro does your have said spring if you remember the last time you had the stock off?
Any advice appreciated..
Post a pic for me!Comment

Okay, The "knock off" is what I call a sear trip, it's there, but missing the spring and spring screw. There's 3 pins in that assembly, and I can't see if they're all there in pic. Trigger pin, knockoff spring and catch pin.
I'm not sure they're needed unless you have a single set trigger. But your trigger works okay?
Dammit, now I have to pull mine apart to look!
You can see the differences in the different trigger set ups here:

Thanks Trap.
Yes all three pins are there in the block as they should be..It does work as is..But I do have a light strike occasionally..I think the knockoff without the spring could possibly be riding or jumping up and catching the upper sear slowing the hammer occasionally.. It can happen if I manipulate things just right by hand on the hammer and trigger trying to duplicate the catching of the sear as the hammer falls..Just a theory..It does have a new Firing pin..All other pins and bushings throughout are tight and not sloppy at all..
George does not list the Knockoff spring, but I can call, he may have one anyway...Just not a sufficient stock to list them..Comment

Since as I mentioned earlier the Liner was about a inch short..I turned a little .190 False smooth Muzzle in the Lathe to fill it..Looks much better then the 5/16ths bore on the end..
Decided I better have a Tang sight too so I can shoot open sometimes too. I bought a Marbles made for original 1885s..Midway had em on sale for 83.00 with free shipping..Will post a pic of it mounted when it gets here..

Well the trigger spring did not help the strikes. So I said the heck with it and experimented with some shimming under the Main Spring to get a little heavier strike..Took it out this morning and shot 50 rounds of Eley and Hornandy..Nary a misfire. Nice solid strikes...Ran perfect.. Happy now, it was getting me kinda depressed

Maybe my last update..Received the Marbles tang sight and it is on..Nice to have the ability to shoot peeps if I want to..
Also have the little copper Caliber tag made and put in the slot that was milled to take out the 22 Long R marking..So no one ever tries to put a 22 Short down a .17 barrel in the future,LOL
I marked the tag 17 HM2,,Came out pretty good..I just hand stamped the new caliber in the copper with hand stamps, and fitted it to slot cut out with a 3/16ths end mill....Thanks
