Yes, i think it is. I got it so long ago, I dont remember, but the material does feel like neoprene.

I have many times. Works like a charm up to 50-60 yards. That is what I started with when I was 10. Now I have a dedicated Browning A-Bolt .223 with 45 grain Accutip bullets.

Update: 15 boxes of 333 round bulk packs for $14.96 at Walmart. They only let me pick up 6. I can get more after work if anyone needs some and they are still there?

I was getting some 555 packs for $15....seems the raised their prices, because the 333's were cheaper than that.

Then I started buying bulk cci blazer, it's not as dirty either.

You guys should check out rimfirecentral for more info on the 795's. You'd have to do a bit of digging, but people have some nice rifle builds there.


I also saw on rimfire technologies, there are muzzlebrakes for the 795, if you can get your barrel threaded for one.

Scoped mine last night. It looks okay. I want to get the stock hydro dipped in Mossy oak brush camo but cant justify spending the $150 to do it since that would be more than the rifle cost new.

Took my Marlin to the indoor range last night to get it broken in. Shot 200 rounds or Federal bulk high velocity without a single problem, I really like this thing so far. When we took my friends 10/22 out for the first time we got 3 or 4 jams. Iron sights were really accurate on mine and I surprisingly shot pretty tight groups.

So far, I'm really impressed, cant wait to throw the scope on there and shoot longer distances.

Awkwardly enough the front site on mine is installed slightly to the left on the crown of the barrel. I put a bore sighter in it and the sights line up with the laser kind of weird. Ill have to take it to the range and fire some off and find out if this will be an issue.

NICE! I saw them on sale at Turner's for $150 and really wanted one, but I just bought the 795, so unless I want my girlfriend to kill me, i better not buy another firearm for a while.
