I didn't pay attention, I cut the sticker off the side of the box with the UPC and serial. I hope they will honor that...

I don't think they will. I just got mine and the wife's out of jail Monday. The proofs of purchase were stuck to the manual and have the guns serial number on then. They'll just make you mail that in before they finish it. I'm just about to send mine in and fortunately I read all these warnings before I did something less than intelligent.

I think I am going to go pick up another one tomorrow(795) our local sports shop just posted a new flyer and they have the 795 at 99.95 then the rebate makes it CHEAP!!

Will have to paint it Pink and/or purple for my girls. They love the 795 we have now but ask to paint it all the time.

Are the rebate slips 'store specific' ? The reason I'm asking is that I found a store that has the 795 for $134.95, but they don't know anything about a rebate program. I thought I might be able to get the rebate anyway, if I could get my hands on a rebate slip. Do you guys think that might work?

I'd double check that. It sounds more like the price WITH the rebate. I'm painting my wife's 795 pink.

It is not. It's a manufacturer's rebate, and you fill it out online. Go for it.

As long as you follow the directions on their site it's fine, but don't hold your breath on getting it quickly. I think it took a few months to come back. Click on the rebate coupon link within this page:

There is a 795 in the private firearms section right now! For 160 you get rifle, 5 mags, tech sights, sling mounts and maybe ammo!

took my "new" (used) marlin to the range and she's shooting to the right. how do you adjust the stock sights?

Im not looking at buying and tech sights or scopes, I want to keep her stock for plinking.
