I was visited by the ghost of Christmas past today. He whispered in my ear, "CCI MiniMags, in stock, WalMart, $7.47" When I awoke, I was at the ammo cabinet at WalMart Oxnard. Lo and behold, there shone, through the scratched up plexiglass, dozens and dozens of boxes of CCI MiniMags for $7.47!!!
It wasn't a dream, I bought my three box limit and was overjoyed. Sometimes the ghost of Christmas past visiting is a very good thing. First time I have seen MiniMags in any ammo supplier for almost two years. And at a price that reminded me of the good old days. Seven and a half cents per round for MiniMags makes me all warm inside. Two guys wandered up and saw those MiniMags and got in line right behind me. We all said, "This is the good old days". Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

It doesn't make your entire order ship for free, but it reduces your shipping charge by the amount it would cost to ship the "free shipping" item. Approximately.
Add things to your cart and experiment- you can see how the shipping charges are affected.

I added the first item linked and saved about $1.50 on the shipping but spent about $3.60 on the item so a net loss of $2.
If you have the patience of a saint it can be done but this is easier if it works. 5FreeShip. In the promo code.

There is a bunch at the Big 5 in perris, but it is probably over priced I didn't even ask.

This last week the Turners in Fountain Valley had multiple cases of two different brands of .22 LR with no limit posted. I got some 500 round boxes of Remington 22 Thunderbolt. $37 for 500 rounds, so about twice what .22 LR used to be before "the shortage". A box like this used to be about $18.

I'm amazed at how long this shortage has lasted. I still rarely see any bulk .22lr here. Even the Walmarts aren't seeing much, and it's gone as soon as it comes in when they do.

But the Walmart prices we are seeing posted are pretty nice. Even the 300 round packs. When they were 375 round packs the price per round was usually better, but if people are finding 300 round choot 'ems for .079 per round that's pretty good. I just hope we get to a point where they stay in stock and then limits go away. We will see.

I don't get to Walmart much anymore.

Here is my latest delivery from Cabelas.
They have a no question returns policy but it doesn't apply to ammo and so far 1 hour 15 minutes on the phone without getting any customer service.
Once you mention you want to return ammo you get infinite wait mode. Packaging was way way bad.

Hey LynnJr, are those Thunderbolts? I received mine today and they look exactly the same. Cabela's usually wraps the ammo in the bubble wrap that sticks to itself and everything arrives intact. Not this time. I don't think it's a big deal really- I just dumped them back in the box and taped it up. It's not as if the ammo is damaged.

Yes they are thunderbolts. What ticked me off is I ordered some Winchester ammo at the same time and it arrived two days earlier unharmed.
They could have put 12 bricks in the box and some stuffing but didn't. The lid was torn off not just opened.

Exactly the same with me. I ordered the Winchester 333 pack and the 500 Thunderbolts at the same time. The winchester showed up a day earlier and was wrapped in the sticky bubble wrap in perfect condition. The thunderbolts showed up yesterday and were just put in the box with some packing paper. Mine had the inner flap torn off as well and the ammo was all loose in the box.

If you absolutely NEED 22LR, Turners in Corona had CASES of CI brand (no, not CCI, this is another manufacturer) as of 2 hours ago. It was $$ though. Brick of 500=$79.99 + tax. It stated on the case 22lr High Velocity 1250 fps. I THINK it was 40 grain.
