Got it yesterday! Its huge! My only issue is that it didn't even come with the cheapie lens covers! wtf?

I bought the lens hood with mine. I like using a scope coat instead of covers.

Just FYI... Both scopes are on backorder. Including the illuminated model.

SWFA won't charge you until it ships.

Also, for an extra $200, you can upgrade to the illuminated model.

I think I am going to go with a scope coat as well. Spent way to much to scratch it. How do you choose which scope coat, I would like to get one that will work with the shade cap on it.

+1 to that. I also replaced a Bushnell 10x40 that was on my 700 LTR. This new scope makes the rifle look small.

Im still waiting on mine to ship, I have something worse than BRD right now... The Optics Bug... In the last couple months ive bought an ACOG, SWFA Combo, and a Vortex 4-16 FFP along with another 1-4x PST.

Ill be doing my own review of the Vortex PST vs SWFA SS HD... combo vs combo.

Yeah I think so. It was nice being able to see my .223 holes at 100yards. Only thing was the wind was a constant 30mph and I wasn't able to really sight it in or use it above 5x. (was moving to much in the high wind) Also if i turn it all the way at 20x tell it stops its just a little blury. But if i back it off just a hair its perfect. It is also so much easier to use the mils for ranging now! =)

although i wonder how long mr wallet would be angry if i get both... do need the 5-20 for a future/somewhat distant build.

Sweet, I love my ballistic app, its a pretty critical part of my shooting and learning process. I actually learn a ton about ballistics from it. Being able to compare loads and change parameters really gives you a better understanding of ballistics with all that visual data and drop charts.

One thing to keep in mind when using that stuff is not to get too dependant on the reticle and estimated hold over graphic, it can get you into trouble when switching scopes, but its neat they do have the SWFA reticle. I really like to practice it strictly from the data side and know your holdovers in mils and or how much adjustment to dial in.

The HUD display in Ballistics FTE is awesome, plus it automatically puts in all atmospheric and environmental variables automatically... It almost feels like cheating.

Maybe you guys can help me out with the app. I put in all my info for a 77gr smk
And table shows at 1000 yards a vert correction mrad of 0.6
So what does that mean? I adjust my scope only .6 of an mrad?
