What is your zero distance and sight height? .6 Mils for 1000 yards sounds off to me.

For that round out of my rifle... With a 2.6" sight height and 100 yard zero I get 13.2 mrad of drop at 1000 yards.

.6 gets me to about 220 yards.

I need more information for verify your numbers.

Edit: Yes the 5-20 deal is over. Also I think the combo deal expires in a couple of days. The coupon was activated around 5/21, and I believe it's was only good for 30 days from time of activation

Man I'm itching to get my combo. To hold me over I picked up a Mueller APV for my 10/22 that should be here by Friday.

I'm a newbie to this rifle shooting thing. I've always been a handgun guy but I recently picked up a used SPS Tactical w/ a Nightforce 20 moa base for a great deal and then heard about the SWFA deal. Prior to that I had a M&P15FT that I've taken out maybe twice in the 8 months I've owned it. I also have a M1 Garand, Mosin Nagant, and aforementioned 10/22. Out of those I've definitely shot the 10/22 the most but never with a scope. I'm hoping these were good investments that will last me a lifetime of shooting and that I can learn with them.

I received an e-mail a month ago saying it was out of stock. No ETA. I'm not expecting it anytime soon. Oh well, I don't even have a rifle for it to go on, so I'm not in any rush to receive it. Just gives me more time to get another rifle for it to go on (unless I upgrade the TruGlo I have on my keltec, and I don't see that happening )

My favorite part about the backorder is that they offer to cancel the 1x6... I asked how much I'd get back with the combo deal; their response was $282 or whatever the difference was, so you'd essentially pay full price for the 5-20.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty messed up too. They should have at least offered the 5-20 at the sale price of their other Facebook deal.

Sweet, I love my ballistic app, its a pretty critical part of my shooting and learning process. I actually learn a ton about ballistics from it. Being able to compare loads and change parameters really gives you a better understanding of ballistics with all that visual data and drop charts.

One thing to keep in mind when using that stuff is not to get too dependant on the reticle and estimated hold over graphic, it can get you into trouble when switching scopes, but its neat they do have the SWFA reticle. I really like to practice it strictly from the data side and know your holdovers in mils and or how much adjustment to dial in.

The HUD display in Ballistics FTE is awesome, plus it automatically puts in all atmospheric and environmental variables automatically... It almost feels like cheating.
