A lot of options listed and I didn't read them all, but I would say for a 22lr your best best is the Primary Arms ACSS for $119 it's a fixed X6, not too many people speak poorly about them, in fact, the opposite

IMHO a magnified optic for HD is silly on a pistol. An Aimpoint Comp series RDS is the way to go. The reason for the comp over a Eotech is superior battery life and the ability to roll the rheostat to brighten or dim the dot instantaneously with your support side pointer finger vs trying to press buttons.
      Can DI AR's run dirty?

I love and use both Eotech and Aimpoint but have to agree the Aimpoints are a little faster and easier to manipulate which can be paramount during a home defense situation. Another good option would be the Leupold LCO. I think by now this sight has been proven solid and reliable. You also get excellent battery life, and, motion sensor technology which is something I wish the Eotechs and Aimpoints had included.

And no, I would not recommend a LPVO if primary use for the rifle is home defense. A flip to side magnifier behind a red dot sight is a great option however.
