my son in law bought a 100 buck chinese SKS about 25 years ago. who knows how many 1,000 rounds threw it. his idea of cleaning a rifle is a couple of solvent patches down the bore and a few dry and oil patches. i tried to get him to bring it over to my shop and do a deep cleaning and he said. why it never fails. i guaranty you the gas piston has never been removed and cleaned in 25 years. do that with a AR and see what happens.

well my Aunt's garage is in TX and I am moving there shortly...be kind of silly packing all that ammo into a little Saturn 4 door and driving across country right? Unlike some other lads who had to rent a U-haul and take several trips filled with ammo and nothing else....uhhh no thanks. It's Ok Joe, I know you want to come with me TX and share the spoils but sorry, no more room.

Oh damn it! I was just on a boat since I was off early today and thought, "hey, I should bring that one SKS I can't shoot out here to enjoy the breeze. What do you know, the boat blew its engine causing a hole to appear in the hull and it sank. I was able to save myself, but the gun and safe are at the bottom of the lake.
