get it now while you still can. Already starting to see the squeeze on ALL semi-automatics for California. Give it another month and the CA Panic will be in full force. What better way to beat the rush then get an SKS. Only thing you got left just about.

Doubt it...they would most likely fall in price. SKSs are attractive right now because you can buy them FTF, cash&carry. They are semi-auto and ammo is there and at decent price. Once, everyone has to register new purchases, SKSs will start to get dusty. All hype! Of course people that dumped money into them will be saying "get them now before they go up". Pre-panic prices are their true values and everything else is all speculation. Just like home prices fell when the bubble burst, so will the SKSs.

If price falls, I'll buy some. If price goes up, I'll sell some. Either way it's win.

Sorry pal I think you are way off. Unlike houses, SKS aren't being made any more and these recent imports should be a gift for you. After 1/1/2014 just about every FFL will be boycotting CA and be petrified of the new laws. True with your FFL+COE you can get one after doomsday after that but look....

Even before the pre-panic SKS' have been steadily going up in price. All makes and models. And considering that the SKS is about the only semi automatic you can get...yeah Prices will sky rocket! Not only that so will the ammo will go with it. Remember Supply and Demand. And come 1/1/14...supply + California = game over.

There is always a ceiling when price is the topic. SKSs, just like houses, people think that their is no ceiling. Yes, they aren't being made, but their are still crates of them everywhere. If a person knows that he will need to register his purchase, why would he buy an SKS if he could buy an AK? Do you really think that an SKS beats an AK, AR, or any other semi-auto with a detachable mag and replacement part readily available. I doubt any FFL (businessman) will boycott CA and not ship to us. Money doesn't smell! Especially with the way the economy is headed, no reasonable person will pass up a sale. Yeah, prices went up, pre-panic, due to supply and popularity. The current price increase is speculation of what MIGHT happen in the near future. However, once demand drops, so does price. Just look at any other C&R, for instance, a luger... why have the stopped increasing in price? People that bought houses prior to '08 was not because they wanted one, but because they thought they would find another sucker to buy it off for more than they paid, speculators. The problem comes when you can't find any suckers that are willing to buy at your prices.

I guess you forgot about the Import Bans hu? Sure if this was Canada we would be getting crates of those Russian SKS and Chinese Spiked SKS' like the good old days in the 80s but we are not are we? And considering AKs, ARs will all be banned come 1/1/14 and no longer be Imported to CA plus the closing of the loop hole of the mag lock...yeah SKS is about it when it comes to semi-autos. Everyone else will be SOL or have register their Semis and make it a R.A.W.

And there is a a lot of FFLS that don't ship to California even with C&R Status SKS. Samco, SOG, and about 65-75% of GB Does not. There are others and there will be more due to the Cali FUD.

But yeah, you'll find out if the SKS' prices go up or down in Cali wont you?

What you mean? Classics has them for sale at a good price unless you don't have an FFL. Stay away from Retails like Turners and Ammo Brothers. They had one of those Century Import SKS beat to ****....$499 + DROS ouchies.

First of all, the mag lock is NOT a loophole!!! 1/1/14 we will have a long gun registry, no bans. Just because someone wrote a bill to completely ban semi auto with detachable mags doesn't mean it has a chance of passing. Can you imagine all the noise, politicians loosing votes, people moving out...no way it would pass! Liberals are stupid, but not that stupid. What if somebody writes a bill banning and confiscating all guns, are you going to move out? Lets be realistic! This is not the U.K. or Australia... Guns are embedded into the American culture. We have huge gun ownership. The gov. wont even have the funds for a buyback!

I "HOPE" you are right, but my money is on the proposed extension of the AW ban, hich cap mags and Bullet Button ban will all be approved. They have all flew through every committee and vote so far. I just don't think Brown will veto any of them. IF they go through, you will NOT be bale to purchase a semiauto with removable mag after Jan 1. At that point the SKS will be a hot item.
