Average C&R application wait time

Honestly, in this case, hope is overrated. Even when you contact them, they will drag out the process as long as they possibly and legally can.

The ATF does not want private citizens to own firearms. This we know. Why would they be a cheerful rush to issue any FFL license? Even a C&R.

I'm sure my COE will take just as long once I get that process going soon.

I got my COE pretty quick maybe two weeks from mailing my app. I was surprised because I would expect it to be the other way around with the state taking forever and the Feds being faster

Called today - the agent is going to complete the background (today) and should be able to issue (today). She was a very nice woman and promises to call me back when it's issued.

Yes, I got my info pack a couple days after my license. I wonder why they don't just ship them together.

It's been over 2 weeks since I last heard from the ATF. The rep has not responded to my e-mail sent Tuesday. It's also been almost 60 days since receipt of my application and over 60 days since I originally mailed it.

Well, judging from the responses here the time frame to receive the license is all over the place.

I sent mine in on 07/02. I will update when I receive it. The ability to buy classic firearms directly over the internet may yet be my ruin, but it wil be a great ride.

Proud new 03 C&R Holder as of today. I got my license in today's mail. Total turnaround time = 3 weeks.

Well, I've got some scanning and emailing to do.

Mine took exactly 21 days from the day I mailed it out to the day I received it. Not too bad!

Oh, they are definitely good at that indeed. They took my money only 4 days after it was mailed.

Anyway, good news... I got an e-mail on my Friday from my rep who said I should have my license within 7 to 10 days, so I'm hoping it will show this week.

They really didn't seem interested in issuing my license. They waited until only a few days before their 60 day limit and it took 3 days to respond to my last e-mail.

I called yesterday, they said they recieved it on 28 June, and that she expected for the license to get approved today, dont know how long after that till it is mailed out

I am praying mine comes in before the Gun Show this weekend in Ontario.....
