They take the money immediately...the process runs about 60 days.

Anyone got a link to a filled out COE form? The one on the CFARS link is blank and doesn’t have an ORI number.

Forgot to upload my Id so it was kicked back. Uploaded my ID about 10am and within the hour I was approved.

'Your COE application is marked as delayed. The Bureau of Firearms requires additional time to process your request.'

Anyone else seeing this in CFAR?

C&R FFL Application Form ATF 7CR - use the official BATFE PDF form!

Mailed my FFL03 app on 9/24. I had one previously, as well as a COE, but let it expire since CA did a pretty good job of neutering the FFL03. I'm now in NV where I can still get C&R rifles shipped direct (for now). The app has a question asking if you previously had an FFL license. It will be interesting to see if they assign me the same license number.

                  ETA: CC charged 10/1

Just started my application for COE+FFL03.
Oct 17-Got Live scanned and submitted my online CFARS CoE application.
Oct 20-Mailed my letters to the BATF licensing center and my chief of police.

10/24: CoE was approved and ATF charged my card.

11/8/2019: FFL03 arrived in the mail.

Just under a month, most of it just waiting for your FFL03 to arrive.

I received my new FFL03 today (10/25/19). A mere month after I mailed my app!! I was shocked to see it in the mail.
They did give me a new number.

Forgive me for asking stupid questions in regards to the current subject matter. My questions is in regards to filling out the actual ATF application. I'm trying to apply for the 03 FFL and on the application, do you need to answer ALL the required questions, can you put say "N/A" if it doesn't apply to you or can you leave it blank. Will this cause delay in processing, will they call me to verify what I did not answer.

The reason I'm asking is on the first part of the application process near the top, it ask what's your reasoning for wanting the permit or why you want it...I can't remember the exact question it asked but right along that phrase.

My reasoning is for ammo purchasing...and maybe down the road somewhere, I might pick up a couple relic firearms here and there. Buy the main reason is for ammo purchasing. So with that being said, do I just put "Ammo purchasing" on that portion or just put relic purchases.

Also, my next question is, due to the requirements of notifying my local chief of police, do I need to send a copy of the application or just a simple letter stating I'm obtaining an FFL?

Next question, do I send in a copy of my Certificate to Eligibility along with the ATF application to the ATF and the CoP as well?

Again, sorry for the ignorance of my questions but I'm getting ready to do my livescan tomorrow afternoon and send everything from Postal Annex. Any help would be appreciated.

                          Thanks...

I don't think you you want to put down "purchase ammo". Just put down collector.

You are not required to send a copy of your COE but do include a copy of the ATF application along with the letter to your Chief of Police or Sheriff if your city does not have a police department. As was said above just put collector for your reason.

Here is what I sent to my Chief along with a copy of my ATF application.

                              Chief _______,

The ATF requires me to send you a copy of this application. No action is required on your part. All questions should be directed to the ATF.

                              Regards,

                              Your Name Here

Ok, great...I will make the corrections. And to just confirm again, I do NOT need to send a copy of the ATF application to the chief of police, just the required letter to be notified.

Guess I should of asked before, what do I put in the letter?
