C&R FFL Application Form ATF 7CR - use the official BATFE PDF form!

COE app submitted on 1/2, issued yesterday 1/4 and received the notification early this morning. Still no activity on my credit card for my 12/28 FFL03 submission. I sent via certified mail, tracking shows delivered on 12/31.

How/where can you check coe app status?

If you submitted online through CFARS, it shows the current status upon login. If you mailed your app in, I suppose your only option is to call for a status update.

No prob. And to clarify, my COE approval notification was emailed to me (as a status update), which seems to be common protocol per previous postings/pages on this thread.

Does anyone know the ORI code needed for the COE? Tried to get my finger print done and I didn’t have the code. This is for the FFL 03

Doesn't the Livescan vendor enter that number?

The Live Scan operator is asking me for the number. Maybe I need to try a different place. He still as that he needs to know this number complete the process.

If you use CFARS to initiate the application, DOJ enters the ORI on the form generated by the system.

I can't submit the COE form until I get the finger print done. On the "Request for Live Scan Service" form, its asks for the ORI code. The person performing the live scan said that he couldn't do the fingerprint scan without the number. I am going to try a different place tomorrow. I went to a USP store.

I don't know why but the link to just the BCIA 8016 on the COE page doesn't have all the info filled in. Further down that page is the whole application with the BCIA 8016 form filled in.

Update on mine: I was denied, but only because I failed to fill out a certain part of the application correctly.

Doh!

Oh well, I'll be back in the States soon to make sure this is taken care of.

True. The real bummer is that they sent me the notice on the 15th of December. My housemate only just got back to the place, and this is how i was able to find out. So the atf said that I have thirty days to send in the corrections before they consider the application abandoned. So I will have about a week to send in corrections once I am back. Hopefully they will honor the postage date rather than the date of reception. I plan on calling them in the morning of my arrival to see what I can do. I'm just wondering if I now have to send another letter to my Cleo.
